Rating: Summary: Heart warming and spiritually fulfillilling, A MUST HAVE ! Review: A book for those really wanting to grow spirtually, Father Josheph those an execellent job at helping those currently in many churches starving for GOD. He provides the roadmap, in a simple to understand format. "May God Bless, Father Josheph"
Rating: Summary: very comforting and increased my love for the Savior Review: I personally have met and have become a friend of the author. our spirits touched and we instantly became friends. His love for the Lord is very evident in his books. I have read them all "Joshua" his first, my all time favorite. Never Alone coming in a close 2nd. It really helped me in a time of my life when I did feel alone, but his book brought me the awareness that I am never alone because Jesus always walks with me as a friend and brother. a must read for anyone...
Rating: Summary: A helpful primer on spiritual living Review: I would recommend this book to anyone looking to increase their spiritual life. Girzone gives sound advice: study and imitate the life of Jesus; increase prayer; let go of cravings for material things; reach out and really love others; practice forgiveness and humility; put trust in God by opening ourselves to His grace, love, and guidance. His suggestion to study the lives of the Christian saints is a good one. Overall, a very good book to set new goals and an action plan for yourself to become happier, calmer, and at peace.
Rating: Summary: Stunned and saddened..... Review: It is quite obvious why the Catholic Church is struggling. Girzone attempts to demonstrate the Love of God but it is overshadowed by his resentment of the Church and his disconnect with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.I do not recommend this book to anyone with the exception of someone who has a strong walk with God and is curious about a retired Priests opinion of God. I am stunned with his disgust of the Bible and suggestion that the reader does not read the Word of God. He refers to the Bible as "Archaic stories that are outdated and difficult to understand" Girzone will be in my prayers with the Hope he one day soon finds the meaning of a true relationship with Jesus Christ.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Read! Review: Joseph Girzone is a retired priest. He has become a world famous author with his inspiring Joshua series, which I am just now starting to read. He shares with us his personal way to God in this book. This is not a stuffy, strict, demanding book. It does not condemn you for your mistakes or faults. It is a peaceful and loving approach to faith that shows you God loves us all how we are. We are none of us perfect and the author emphasizes the fact that we are loved no matter what and if we open our hearts all will be well. He talks of how people in our age have been put off by religion. He tells us how religion and spirituality are not the same thing, and if we follow Jesus's life and example rather than do as is dictated by religion's leaders then we will be on the road we should be. God has a plan for all of us and our lives. He loves us even if we do not love him. He will wait for us to come to him and then he will open his arms. The author explains all of these things and tells of a God that loves so much rather than condemns. I found this book to be touching and rather simple in what it had to say. Simple in a good way. Anyone can understand what the author is trying to say, and I found it all to be wonderfully inspiring and thoughtful. I love inspirational books and sadly most that I find are very boring, stiff, untouching. This is a great exception. I recommend it to anyone who wants to meditate on God and their own spirituality.

Rating: Summary: spiritual and uplifting educational Review: My spiritual director gave me this book to read. I found it very comforting and gave me just what I have been yearning for.I felt it was sort of autobiographical and also teaching at the same time. I have read Joshua and now reading Johsua In The Holy Land.It was very inspirational and changed my life. I was very touched and moved in a way I can't explain while reading all of these books. They are just wonderful and Fr. Joe write more.
Rating: Summary: Good book Review: Tells us how with Jesus we are never alone. It goes ito depth of his closness and assurance to call on and trust in him. It was one of the best and better then most self help books.
