Rating: Summary: Chicken Soup for the Soul Review: I currently read the Chicken Soup for the Soul compiled of one hundred short stories by Jack canfield and Mark Hansen. The book contains stories through out America written by different people's everyday life experiences. The intriguing strories were written because they felt it was neccessary to to open the hearts of all americans and rekindle their spirits. What I have learned about the characters in the book is life isn't so bad. Their actions, speeches, and thoughts have helped me to relate to them because their words of wisdom were able to retain my faith. As I captured every trial of their ordeals of life I was then able to empathize with the characters, from their tragic fates to the happiest days of their lives. There is one story I was especially touched by about the Bag lady. She is homeless and sleeps in the fifth street post office. She is identified by her distinctive smell from miles away. An employee from the 5th street post office was having Thanksgiving with his family and
Rating: Summary: One of the Best Motivational books ever! Review: I have struggled with a lot of self-doubt in my life. I have always been torn between two polar opposites; anything that I can imagine, and really commit to I can accomplish, and the opposite, that I'm not that smart, special or intelligent, I'm really just a day dreamer. This book provided me with the insight to finally answer the question. YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING YOU CAN IMAGINE, IF YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF - AND GO FOR IT! The stories in the book have given me such insight into the struggles of others. I have walked away from the book convinced that I can achieve my wildest dreams. I have read a lot of motivational books, but this one is really special. The authors of this book are the same people that have written the popular "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series of books. In conjunction with this book, I would also reccommend "The Aladdin Principle", by the same authors. If we were to read the story of the folks who have started this wonderful cyberspace book mart, you would see the principles of "Dare to Win" in action. Rather than let others deter them, these folks took an idea, and said why not, we can do this! They "Dared to Win". Your reading this review is proof that they could do it. So what's your great idea? Do you dare to entertain the idea that you could accomplish you heart's desire? Do you "Dare to Win"

This is not surprising given all the junk it gets fed on a daily basis from newspapers, etc etc. Dare to Win offers help by providing techniques to help focus your entire energies towards achieving those things you want to achieve. Affirmations and visualisation form the focus of these techniques. If you've never heard these words before, then read this book. Rating: Summary: Truly Inspiring Review: One of the best books I've ever read! Canfield and Hansen use a more understanding, less in-your-face style of motivation than many "self-help gurus." The book has all the elements of other motivational programs, but without the offensive style or guilt-inspiring psycho-babble. If there is any fault in the book it is that its content is somewhat loosely organized and not programmatic enough for the reader to implement a motivational strategy based on it. The "reader without a cause" will find himself (or herself) warm, fuzzy, and all revved up... with nowhere to go.

Rating: Summary: This book has changed how I think and function Review: This book has definitely changed my perspective in how I think and process information. The idea of writing down "too many goals" as the guys put it, definitely showed me how to reprogam my mind and how I go for the things in life that I want. Some of these things have already happened and some are just starting to take shape in my mind. The subconcious will make your goals a reality.
Believe me on this one! The guys have really made a difference in my life.

Rating: Summary: Achieve! Review: This book helps a person to see how visualizing success leads to taking the actions which result in success. Positive thinking is a habit, which if cultivated, can change an individual's life for the better. The point is illustrated by a story attributed to Socrates. A stranger was asked what kind of people were in the city he left and he replied they weren't very nice, they were cheaters, liars, and those of similar nature. Socrates let the man know he'd find the same kind of people in Athens. A second man was asked about the kind of people he had experienced in his previous location and he said wonderful people. Socrates told him he would find the same kind of people in Athens. The moral is you see what you perceive you will find. Self-fulfilling prophecy can be found in personal relationships. Canfield and Hansen help their readers to see things from the perspective of the second person Socrates interviewed.
Rating: Summary: Highly recommended to anyone wants to achieve more in life. Review: This is probably the book that has given me a new insight on my potential to live a abundant and fulfilling life. I have read many self-help books and always find myself referring to " Dare to Win." Mark V. Hansen and Jack Canfield are knowledgeable in the field of self-esteem and write with love and encouragement . It is apparent that they are two caring individuals who obviously succeeded by using their personal power. The stories that are included throughout the book are very inspirational
Rating: Summary: Truly Inspiring Review: This wonderful book focuses on how we can change our lives by changing the way we think about life. The three keys stressed are to write down our goals, then visualize and affirm them. After reading this book, I immediately started applying the techniques in my own life and also share them with others in the "Success Skills Seminars" I present. This is must reading for those serious about improving their careers and personal life.
