Summary: Incredible, The best so far.
Review: This is the best book I've ever read, It Grabs you and don't let go. A fast pace page turner that will keep you glued to your seat and wanting more. A MUST read for all thriller lovers. I can't wait for her next One. I've ordered all her previous ones. This book is Totally AWESOME

Summary: A good read
Review: Bennie has been better!! But then, a bad Bennie is worth a thousand lesser characters. Scottoline's writing is, as always, superb and she keeps the reader involved in the story. However, the plot line meanders somewhat and the interest flags toward the middle of the book. The ending is almost too pat, but you tend to overlook that as you race to the finish. All in all a satisfying Scottoline effort, if not the best.

Summary: Female John Grisham she isn't!
Review: This could be an enjoyable book if the language could be cleaned up somewhat. There are too many loose ends left dangling at the end of the book. Much too long for the content. I have read most of the other reviews & I agree that it isn't a total waste of time, but she is not a female John Grisham.

Summary: An up-all-nighter!
Review: I have read all of Ms. Scottoline's legal thrillers and think this one is the best! The plot is action packed, fast-paced and unpredictable. The characters are wonderful, you feel like you have known them all your life and you continue to think about them long after you finish this super novel. This book is sure to be a national bestseller!

Summary: She gets you right from the start and never lets go!
Review: I know John Grisham, and Lisa is no John Grisham. She's better. More of a sense of humor.Deeper. "Mistaken Identity" is a primer of how a mystery should work. Benny Rosato is a real person and never wavers. The action is vivid and always surprising. It's almost as good as "Rough Justice" which I felt was the top of the genre.

Summary: This is an engrossing thriller which falls apart at the end.
Review: Scottoline is a talented author with a strong legal background. Her characters are intriguing although the villains are a bit stereotyped. The problem with this book is the plot. It is too complicated and the ending leaves many more questions unanswered than I would have liked. Not every loose end must be tied up, but the author left far too many dangling. The book, at 480 pages, is too long. There is not enough plot to justify the length. It could have been edited better. With a tighter plot and a more focused ending, "Mistaken Identity" would have been a top-flight legal thriller. Instead it is a valiant effort that ultimately falls short of its initial promise.

Summary: Great book - kept me up all night!
Review: Don't miss this book if you enjoy a good, fast-paced read with a legal bent to it. The review from Kirkus Associates does a much better job of describing the book than I can, so I'll leave that to them. Had never read any of Lisa Scottoline's novels before, but after finishing MISTAKEN IDENTITY, I immediately ordered her previous novel, ROUGH JUSTICE.

Ms. Scottoline's characters are real, and it doesn't take long to realize that she writes from personal experience and observation. She has been described as the " female John Grisham," but that description doesn't do her justice. Like Grisham, her past legal experience has paid off with her ability to create some very believable characters.

Lisa also has an interesting Web site at http://www.scottoline.com. and it's worth the visit to learn a bit more about the author. You'l' find a message board and online reviews there as well. That's where I found out that MISTAKEN IDENTY has evidently been optioned for development into a television series.

Looking forward to reading all of her previous novels.

Summary: She's right up there with Turow and Grisham.
Review: This book kept my interest from beginning to end. It seemed implausible to me that twins would not be known to each other but this was explained satisfactorily by the author. Scottoline is very talented. She gives her characters life and believability. I look forward to reading her prior works as well as future novels.

Summary: SUPER - Don't Miss It!
Review: Don't wait another minute. Just get your hands on this book and read it. But make sure you don't have anything important to do when you start, because you won't be able to put it down.

Summary: A Brassy Attorney; A Well Laid Out Story!
Review: The combination of personality Lisa Scottoline brings to attorney Bennie Rosato and the intrigue of the story makes this a truly engaging read. Rosato feels like a person you know, or would like to have as a friend. In this particular Rosato adventure, Scottoline portrays an intricate scam that a convict plays on Rosato in order to get her to take the case -- a story that she is her long separated twin sister. The story has some wonderful curves and twists to keep one engaged and we are able to view a very human attorney -- with feelings and convictions -- attempt to do her best with what she learns.A wonderful read that just absorbed me. Rosato is a great character, my favorite among Scottoline's and I hope to read more on her!
