Rating: Summary: So-So Review: I usually love books by Judith McNaught, but this one was not one of them. I bought it with the expectation of it being as wonderful as Whitney, my love. I thought it was nowhere near as good. Usually her books make me laugh and cry for the characters and I can hardly put them down. This one took me forever to get through. I even thought the references to Clayton and Whitney were lacking.
Rating: Summary: What a disappointment Review: Amnesia? I expected better from Ms McNaught. The main characters were grossly underdeveloped. I found that I never liked either Stephen or Sheridan. I actually "hated" Stephen, for treating Sheridan as if she was garbage. Ms McNaught should have spent her time writing Nicki DuVille's story instead. ~ R.T, Thailand
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT!! Review: I love historical romance novels and this is the best since Swan Song. I loved the characters especially Sheridan and Stephen who is the epitome of every woman's dream, tall, rich and handsome. I will read Whitney, My Love and the others but this book was very hard to put down I read it during every spare moment. I didn't like Steven when he treated Sheridan badly, he never let her explain. I wasn't particularly taken with Nicki but I guess I'll have to read the other books first. All in all this is one of the better historical romance novels.
Rating: Summary: until you Review: It's been a while since I read this book, but I do remember that I loved it! Much better than *Whitney, My Love*. I loved Stephen in that book, but he's a lot different in this one, in my opinion, much more serious. I liked him more in *Whitney* but he's still very lovable in here. The romance was wonderful, and i loved the relationship between Stephen and Sheridan. I loved how he tried to give her a chance to "experiment", so to speak, before committing. It was all very cute. I just hate how it always seems as if McNaught makes the heros in her novels always assume that the heroines are fantastic actresses only interested in wealth and/or men. That gets a bit annoying. It happened in *Whitney*, *Until You*, *Paradise*, *Almost Heaven*, almost every McNaught book I've read. But still, I loved those stories. And this one is no exception. I wish Nicki DuVille would get a girl one of these days. Now, HE would be the best hero, in my opinion :) I think it's about time i read it again :)
Rating: Summary: Until You Review: This was the first book I read by Ms. McNaught, and I absolutely loved it- so much that I ran out to buy the other books (Whitney, My Love; Once and Always; A Kingdom of Dreams; Something Wonderful and Almost Heaven). I don't like her modern works, but Ms. McNaught really can write a historical romance. Sheridan is a companion for a wealthy, spoiled American debutante who is coming to over to England to marry. Unfortunately, Stephen, who luckily becomes an Earl before this book (he's untitled in Whitney, My Love) runs over her husband to be, but as the debutant elopes with a man she meets on the ship, Sheridan is the one he meets at the peer. Before they can clear up the mix up, Sheridan is knocked unconcious by a falling crate, and she loses her memory. Stephen, feeling responsible, takes her to his home. This book was excellent. The heroine is not an idiot, and there is a fair amount of humor in it. It is actually romantic too, so you do want the hero and the heroine to get togther. I would recomend this to anyone who likes historical romances, because it is one of the best ones I've ever read.
Rating: Summary: Didn't love it, didn't hate it either Review: I loved Stephen in WML, but in UY, he disappointed me. Yes, the love story was romantic, but that's it. Sheridan was too forgiving (There's nothing wrong with a very forgiving heroine, but in this case, it made her somewhat like a doormat). Oh, it was good to see the characters from the other books: Jason and Tory, Jordan and Alex, Clay and Whitney. And also the great Nicki DuVille.
Rating: Summary: Until You Review: This is the first book I have read by Judith McNaught, boy was I surprised. This book was a great read, so much so, that I had a hard time putting it down. I recommend this book to anyone who loves good Historical Romance.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Captivating Review: First of all, I am a bit partial to JM's books. After all, I have read all of them. However, UNTIL YOU was one of my favorites. I had already read WHITNEY MY LOVE and knew of Stephen Westmoreland and that made it more interesting, but even if I hadn't read WML first I would have still fell in love with the book. The story line was well thought out and the characters were very loveable. Who couldn't help but to fall in love with the naive Sheridan Bromleigh. I love the little twists and misunderstandings that JM includes in this book. They are so real that it is as if it could happen to any one. If you haven't read this book, I would highly suggest giving it a try. Like all of JM's books, this book is one that you can't put down.
Rating: Summary: Better than Whitney My Love! Review: I've read this book more than once and it's one of the few romances that's left an impression on me. It's my absolute favourite! I think what makes it SO good is the characters especially Stephen! He's my dream man! Judith McNaught does a wonderful job of making you fall in love with him and Sheridan. I loved every single part of the book, except when Stephen was angry with Sheridan because he thought she lied to him. By the way, that seems like kind of a trend with Judith Mcnaught, having the heroes think that the heroines are brilliant actresses who lied to them? Anyway, all I gotta say is do not pass this one up! It will make you laugh and cry, and if you like it read Whitney My Love too (although in my opinion it's not as good). However Stephen is so adorable in it!
Rating: Summary: Fantastic! Review: I'm a JM fan . Up until now , i find her books very good with lots of humour thrown in . I hope that Nicki DuVille gets his own book soon . My friend and i has been waiting for Nicki's story for a long time . All in all , i must say that JM's got wits !
