Summary: What Happened to Stephen?
Review: Although JM is one of my fav authors I was puzzled by the about-face Stephen's personality took after his debut in "Whitney, My Love". He was so charming and fun in that book and yet showed only a shadow of his former self in "Until You". The story was well written despite the disappearance of Stephen's sense of humor.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A mild let down.
Review: After reading "Whitney My Love", I had to read this book because I thought Stephan was so wonderful but the Stephan in WML is NOTHING like the Stephan in "Until You". I was so upset that the same loveable Stephan could become this jaded, cynical shell of his former self. My best friend warned me that he was different but I could not have imagined in a thousand years that he would be THAT different.

All in all, "Until You" is not a bad book although I think the amnesia story line made the book drag slightly and I am still amazed at how quickly Stephan could turn his back on Sherry. If you look at the whole book it is a very sweet love story that can make you laugh out loud, cry, and become very upset in the span of a few minutes. Not Judith's best work but a delightful story just the same.

Summary: An enjoyable if not exemplary read
Review: I read this after reading its companion book, "Whitney, My Love," and enjoyed it at least as much. It also takes place in the Regency period and involves some of the same characters -- Clayton's brother, Stephen, is the hero here, and Whitney also has a minor role.

Sheridan Bromleigh is an American and a ladies' companion. Her charge (Charise), who was on her way to England to meet her fiance, has eloped with another man. Meanwhile, Stephen Westmoreland has accidentally killed the fiance in a carriage accident and goes to meet Charise at the dock.

He meets Sheridan instead, but before she can explain anything, she suffers a head injury. She loses her memory and Stephen takes her into his care -- believing she is Charise and letting her think he is her fiance, so as not to upset her by telling her the truth about his death.

As in "Whitney, My Love," misunderstandings abound. Sadly, the plot isn't much different than "Whitney" -- though I still enjoyed it.

Stephen's character is much like Clayton's, though Sheridan is much different from Whitney (she is not nearly so outlandish). She is a likable character -- smart and kind and clever.

Summary: Not what I expected.
Review: I am a fan of JM but she fell short on this novel. After reading and enjoying 'Whitney, my love' and 'A Kingdom of Dreams'; {along with most of her other books; all in which I have enjoyed} I had high expectations for this one and I was very disappointed. I didn't like the fact that he never says I LOVE YOU once to her. That was a big turn off for me.

Summary: Captivating...impossible to put down!
Review: I read Judith McNaught's *A Kingdom of Dreams*, loved it, and decided to try another of her books. I was NOT disappointed!

The characters were well developed, the plot was certainly not the sort of cliche way-over-used type, and not so easily predictable. In short, I was never bored with this book.

While I'll admit that I read this for the romance, there was an unsatisfying amount of actual romance, but where it was, there were scenes that made my heart ache. The book is long (about 400 pages), but the story makes it all worthwhile.

To conclude, the characters were well developed, the plot was clever and never boring, the number of romance scenes was a bit disappointing, but the book kept me going the whole time. Loved it!

Summary: Until this book I was just another hopeless romantic
Review: Until you is just sheer perfection. I fell head over heels for Stephen Westmoreland! He is the ideal man, and I could only pray that a man like him really existed! Sherdian is his perfect match; her beauty and intelligence caught Stephen off guard and not only did he lose his cool composure, but also his heart. This book has such a captivating love story that I just could not put it down. I stayed up all night anticipating the ending, and when I finally got there I just had to reread it over agian because it was just that amazing. The characters are wonderful and their flirtation melted my heart! I highly recommend it!

Summary: Definitely worth it
Review: Stephen and Sherry are very appealing characters. I loved how Sherry thaws Stephen from his icy existence! Loved their last scene together. It would have been great to have had some more interactions togteher at the end but all in all another can't put it down book!

Summary: splendid!!!
Review: the backcover was enough to intrigue me. the idea of a governess developing a case of amnesia and being tended to by an earl who fell in love with her was simply too much to resist. soon i found myself reading the first five chapters on the bookstore itself. eventually, i was told to either buy it or stuff it back. a day later on my bed, i was finished. and still my heart was all a-flutter just thinking of stephen and sheridan. what was so beautiful to see was stephen opening his heart for this proud young lady who would do anything for her love. when u read these parts, you couldnt help but notice that stephen, an embittered (and yet so delicious) earl, was already changing--finally being that warm, charming man before being disillusioned by a first love. he finally found a reason to smile and laugh.

sheridan was simply amazing. she was witty and so brave amidst people who were so foreign to her. she was willing to stake everything just to see if the man she fell in love with was still inside the now-angry stephen (when she ran away).

i'll admit there are a couple of lagging scenes. but all-in-all, it was a delightful read. it was my first mcnaught and since then, i was hooked to her books. you wouldnt regret reading this one.

Summary: Not one of her Best work
Review: I have read almost every one of her novels and have loved them all, except this one. I was bored with the storyline and unimpressed with the characters. If you wanna good novel read Whitney, My Love, Kingdom of Dreams or Almost Heaven. They are far better novels.
