Summary: 1st read: 3 stars ; 2nd read: 4 stars
Review: Until you is the 3rd book of the Westmoreland series. A KINGDOM OF DREAM and WHITNEY, MY LOVE is the first two. I've read both books ( my first 2 of Judith McNaught) and I was very impressed. (AKOD is the best book I've read by far... but thats another review all together.) I enjoyed Stephen's (brother of Clay) character in W,ML. So naturally, I was excited and looking forward to read his story here in U.Y.. I am sad to say that the first time I read this book, I was somewhat disappointed. This book didn't have the spunk and excitement of the usual Judith McNaught's unpredictable twist. The story, however different seems simple and laid back. I also prefer the Stephen in W,ML. He was more toned with humor then. I understood why he treated Sheridan the way he did ( it was guilt at first, then when he acknowledge love, he felt that he was betrayed and the reader must consider his past experience too...) so I still find him a likable hero. He just gotten too serious. The heroine's character was kindda boring for me. Sheridan Bromleigh didn't draw any appeal or any effects to me whatsoever. Although, I didn't particularly hate her, yet I cannot draw myself to specially like her either. She just wasn't impressive as Jennifer in AKOD or as spunky as Tory in "ONCE & ALWAYS" or as any of JM's well designed Heroines (I have read all of her Historical Romance Novels). Sheridan's character and even her actions was simply too unpolished & unconvincing for me to really appreciate her. Somehow I feel that Stephen deserve a different heroine. I have this uncontentment feeling. She doesn't seem fit to be a Countess or one of the Westmoreland wife.

After I read this book the first time, I didn't write a review for it right away. I honestly didn't want to ruin JM's good image in my reviewer's page :-) Thank goodness I waited...I would have rated it a 2-3 stars then. However, after reading ONCE AND ALWAYS, SOMETHING WONDERFUL and ALMOST HEAVEN, I re-read UNTIL YOU because I remembered the secondary characters in this book are the heroes on the 3 books I mentioned above. What do you know, the 2nd timer seems much more fun. There's a new spark of interest due to the apperances of Victoria and Jason, Alexandra & Jordan. Oh dear Nicki too... Even the mention of Ian Thornton, Charity, the Duchess of Claremont & Dorothy made me smile. It's a delight to read updates of these characters especially the couples and the mention of their children. Perhaps you should read all three books before starting the Westmoreland Series... I find it more interesting if you know the secondary characters romance stories as well.

Overall, this book isn't too bad. It's just not one of JM best. IN MY OPINION, this is somewhat a flaw in comparison to AKOD, WML, SW, OaA and AH. If you are a JM's fan and have thoroughly enjoyed all her historical books, dont' expect too much when you read this one. Be warned that way it won't be too much of a disappointment. Enjoy it anyhow!

Summary: Royal Romance!
Review: Judith McNaught's 'Until You' is indeed a Royal Romance pick that takes on high emotional Roller coaster ride! A spellbinding story-teller and that's Judith McNaught, irresistible reading and I find all her Books so amazinginly interesting Reads. She picks her fictional characters who possess courage and loyalty, of humor and integrity and who really care for others. As we read, the book leads to a Historical Royal Romance. If you've read the series of Judith's Books, you sure to like the characters twined in another. I've read a couple of books like A Kingdom of Dreams, Night Whispers, Almost Heaven, Remember When, etc and almost luv the characters. In this pick, Sheridan is hired to accompany one of her students to England to meet her Fiance. When she elopes, Sheridan is in scoop and later sweeps off her memory when she steps into the path of a cargo net loaded with crates. She falls in love and the romance read drifts one away into Royal Romantic experience. It's gr8 to meet Stephen, the younger brother of Clayton Westmoreland in Whitney My Love. A good read and good collection of Judith McNaught's Books on the shelf for Romance Reads.

Summary: Go Judith McNaught!
Review: Wow! This book was amazing and the first that i've read of Judith McNaught's! I simply couldn't put it down and even once i finished it, i was drawn back to it to re-read what i could! Stephen is great and Sherry is wonderful. The whole book is so great. I hope the other books are as good. I now plan on reading Kindgom of Dreams, which has also been very highly rated (ppl told me it is better than Until You though i can't imagine it just yet!) and Whitney, My Love. Whoever out there who hasn't read a Judith McNaught you really don't know WHAT you are missing out on!

Summary: Stephen's Story
Review: Remember Stephen from "Whitney My Love"? Well is you have not read that story Stephen is the brother of Clayton and this is his story.

Sheridan is on her way to England as a companion for a young girl trouble is her young charge leaves the ship with a young man and leaves Sheridan in an akward position since Charise is on her way to England to marry another. Once Sheridan arrives in England she is injured in an accident on the docks and does not remember who she is or why she is there.

Stephen accidently runs over Charises fiance and kills him. He is on his way to the docks to inform her of this and does not realize that Sheridan is not Charise and takes her home to recover from her accident since he feels he owns it to her.

While recovering they get to know each other and a romance blooms. You get to meet other friends from previous Mcnaught books and of course you see Whitney and Clayton again.

Don't miss this wonderful book!

Summary: disappointing
Review: There are more than 100 reviews already for this book but I had to share my take on it because I was kind of disappointed with this one. It does not have the same depth as other McNaught stories. The book also seemed overcrowded with appearance of too many previous characters. After reading about them in intense stories I personally found it hard to accept them in merely supporting roles.

Summary: Gets You On 2 Levels
Review: I expected to be disappointed in this story after reading some of the reviews. I actually liked it very well. It does seem, upon reflection, that there was less 1:1 interaction between Stephen & Sherry in this story (not sure if that is my imagination or not), but I still came away with my normal sore heart after reading one of this JM series. I think it's the intensity of her characters' anger, at the crisis points, that shadows my heart for days after they have patched things up.

When I say this story gets you on 2 levels it is because, if you have read all the predecessor stories to this, there is the melancholy awareness that you are watching your favorite characters take a final curtain call in this story. It is quite touching to see everyone come together to help Stephen find HIS happiness and allow us to also remember their stories. I am only surprised that somehow Ian & Elizabeth were left out cause it seems everyone else takes a bow. Kinda chokes me up.

Review: Yeah, this one is definately better than Whitney My Love, Stephen is a great character and the whole things just flow nicely and it did not go overboard.

Summary: A Waste of Money!!!
Review: I bought this audiobook recording for Judith McNaught's Until You because I had listened to another audiobook recording for a Judith McNaught book that I liked but I just couldn't get into this one and was disappointed and even though I bought it in a used book store at a lower price I still felt like I wasted my money and this did not go on my keeper shelf but was instead traded back at the used bookstore! Actress Amanda Pays narrates the audiobook story but as good as she is even she can't save this disappointing story!

Summary: Heartwarming.
Review: I find this book much better than Whitney,My Love. This is the first book that made me cry! And it seems that I'm not the only one. As others have said, their emotions were also evoked by this book. It made 'em laugh, cry, and so and so. It's a must-have.
