Rating: Summary: The authority of ideas? Review: American Institute of Hypnotherapy http://www.ampac.edu/ OK. So this stuff is mysterious. Perhaps in the whole idea of self improvement you have to suspend reality a little bit to make that "leap of faith" in yourself and in the change you are willing to make. The author got her degree from the above Institute affiliated with the On-line university called Pacific University. Pacific University, located in Honolulu, HI., is not accredited in the US. But does that matter? Does the authority of her ideas (wherever they come from) need an recognized academic affiliation? Ancient wisdom is: buyer beware. Then again, Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Ghandi, Dr. Martin Luther King, all had their detractors. Make up your own mind. Or just have fun with it. Life is a journey and this book may improve yours.

Rating: Summary: TRULY WONDERFUL! Review: Dr. Gregg has written a marvelous book. I savoured each page. This is not the kind of book that you can read quickly and never return to again - on the contrary - this is the kind of book that you will return to again and again. The exercises that she recommends are "non-negotiable" in my view. Changing your life is not instantaneous, it is slow and an evolution that needs to take place. The Toltec Way is absolutely necessary. We are living in a world far from peaceful and quiet-and to be able to attain this within yourself is a wonderful gift. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is searching for happiness. Begin here.
Rating: Summary: couldn't get past the first chapter Review: I bought this book on the recommendations of others but when I got to the first chapter about how she discovered Toltec wisdom, I just couldn't believe the story of how she moved to California and within days a stranger, told her she she was a powerful teacher and healer. Then her timeline of getting a doctorate just three years later is questionable too. I looked on the book and it never said where she got this degree from. I did go on and read the rest of the book and some of the ideas seemed reasonable but the things from the first chapter made me think, why should I believe any of this?
Rating: Summary: You can change your life! Review: I just finished reading THE TOLTEC WAY, and I'm stunned by the vast amount of information that is packed into only 240 pages. It is a complete roadmap for anyone to transform their life completely. Of course, it is only 240 pages, however the journey may take years to complete. But, so what? It ought to be worth the effort to find happiness and freedom. Dr. Gregg has written a great book!
Rating: Summary: Wow - what a great book!!!! Review: I read don Miguel's Four Agreements and loved it but this book takes you one step further - it shows you how to change your life in ways that are unimaginable. The teaching stories really moved me and made me think about life differently. Dr. Gregg thank you so much for writing this book and sharing it with me.
Rating: Summary: A good read, but a little boring. Just a little. Review: I really liked Miguel's books better, but overall Susan's book is a prety good read. Regardless of what your read, the toltec path offers a way to be completely happy.
Rating: Summary: Where's the Toltec? Review: Perhaps I'd have been better off with Mr. Ruiz's Agreements, because this one left me scratching, where's the "Toltec" in this Way? The impression left is that the author has distilled and blended axioms and beliefs to her fancy. This in itself is not a bad thing; many "ancient ways" require a contemporary language for us to comprehend. But this book only left me starving for substance. Granted there are some beautiful anecdotes emphasizing the need for our harmonious existence with nature and eachother, hence a couple of stars...
Rating: Summary: This book will truly change your life Review: So many books claim they will help you change your life, this one really will. It made me feel things I hadn't felt in years. As I used the tools clearly outlined I changed the way I thought about things. I began to act instead of react to the events in my life. I am so grateful the author took the time to share her wisdom. At the end of the book she tells readers to feel free to contact her if they have any questions - and I know she means it - she answered my questions most graciously. Buy two or more books and share them with your friends or even better with the person that bugs you the most. I even sent one to my dad.
Rating: Summary: Good Concepts Review: Stories on how to change your life. This was a really good book. If you liked it I would also recommend the book An Encounter with A Prophet It will really change you.
