Summary: Cheaters Review - good book!!!
Review: The book "Cheaters" by Eric Jerome Dickey was recommended to me by a couple of my friends who read it before. It all starts of with 3 friends one which is married named Darnell, second is Jake who is engaged and the third the main character Stephan who loves them and then leaves them. This book is really good if you like drama and can take jokes. It also has a lot of descriptions of sex scenes if you are really into all that (yummy!). I really enjoyed the book because I'm the type of person that reads to escape from the world I'm living, and this book really described everything perfectly like every scenario and plot. I really recommend this book. I gave it 5 stars because I couldn't put the book down at all and I finished it in like less than a week (yes it was that good!).
What I think you guys will love about this book is that the women do get cheated on but they get back! They are not stupid enough to take some things like that.

Summary: Big Fan
Review: The book was a real page turner. I've recently started reading his books and I am very impressed. The characters are so real, just like one of your friends or family members. I've only read Cheaters and Sister Sister but I'm definitly looking for more of his work. Eric is a very good writer. The story is easy to follow and makes you feel like you are going through some of the stuff with the characters. I would recommend this book to anyone who has been cheated on, cheated on someone or just ever been in love. I was very pleased with this book and is looking foward to starting the next one.

Summary: Woman's Perspective from a Man's Point of View
Review: The book was good, I can not refute that, but it left me hanging. As a reader I expected the story to end with the woman's closure and yet it didn't, it ended with our suggested hero of the story who was as much of a cheater as everyone else in the book if not worse. It left me desiring to know how the women truly felt but I never found out because the book was male dominated, male written and from a Man's Point of View even though it had many overtones of a woman's perspective.

Summary: Loving the story(Couldn't put it down)
Review: This book Cheaters by Eric Jerome Dickey was really good. When you read the book you feel as if you are there the whole time. Everything that the characters in the book went through, you are saying to yourself i know excatly what they are going through.I have read this book many times and all his other books that he has written.Eric Jerome Dickey has three best-sellers books and he also has a movie, but his stories are so exciting and dramatic.Once you start reading you never want to put the book down you always wanna know what's going on.I wish that he made a sequel to that book because it keeps you wondering and guessing. I liked the book because it was dramatic and it kept you guessing it was a very interesting book and it made you think more about how you would want your life to turn out. His stories to me are based on everyday life and everyone's life is different so it would cause the book to be funny, interesting, dramatic and unlike anything else.

Summary: Hilarious
Review: This book is excellent. It grabs you from the first page all the way to the last and I was mad that the book ended. This is definately Mr. Dickeys best book that he's written. I've read all his books including his last "Thieve's Paradise" and none of his other books compare to this. Good JOB. One of the best books I've ever read.

Summary: GOOOOOOD
Review: This book was too good. Eric did it again.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Read 'em and weep
Review: This book will hold your interest, no question about that. That's probably the author's point. As has been pointed out on this website, there is much pornography and voyeurs (like me) will peep in. His sex scenes are okay.

But do women really behave this way? How can a male author write in the first person as a female? I know, all the authors do it, but like he says in his "epilogue," remember it's only fiction.

It's only fiction because these educated people are apparently NEVER interested in anything intellectual, much less spiritual. That's why they seem so narcissistic. It's all about ME, ME, and ME, no matter who the character is. Darnell's decision to follow his Tammy Rainbow in the end is, well, fitting with the narcissism.

But why shouldn't they be narcissistic? They have no children, none of them, since Jake ordered all of his aborted...so much for his seed...he'll no doubt get over it and have others. The children we meet at Stephan's parents' home in Baldwin Hills, briefly, are wanna-be gang-bangers. This part is realistic. Stephan's stepfather and mother are also very realistic.

But for people with supposedly interesting jobs and college degrees, don't you think they might have some interest in their work? Besides receiving and making calls to their beaus? That part is unrealistic.

So, in the end, Mr. Dickey will please himself and his pocketbook. He'll be the person Darnell wants to be, a published author who makes the big score and doesn't have to drudge in the mundane workaday world like everyone else...but Darnell being an attorney? Well, he does owe his wife, I'd say, but that's fiction, right? Leave the wife who stood by you while you went through law school, because (a) she had a brief affair and (b) she doesn't like having intercourse in the garage?

Well, Darnell COULD have inspired the rest of us to go against our SELFISH inclination to watch out for NUMBER 1. But no, he doesn't do that. Attorney and bookwriter and all, he just shows us how to get for ME....the narcisstic way of life (certainly has much intellectual backing, for example, Ayn Rand, Robert Ringer, many, many more).

I like to think that we can rise above this animal level. Mr. Erick Dickey probably knows how to rise above his own narcissism, since he's such a clever guy, but would writing about that make him money? Maybe his other books are more along those lines. I'll have to read them and find out.

Diximus.

Summary: Sex And The City Meets Waiting To Exhale
Review: This was one fun book! I was flipping pages faster than I could absorb their words!

This was a story of twenty-thirty-something-single-marrieds who are going through nothing more than life itself. Talk about reality! Whoa... I felt like I was living my anxiety ridden/exciting livin' single years over again.

Chante and her girlfriends, Tammy and Karen along with Stephan and his buddies, Darnell and Jake, have an interesting story to tell. This story dips and dives into relationships among female friends, male friends, ex-lovers, lovers, wives, soon-to-be wives, mothers and fathers.

In the end you will feel as if you are living in their world and will miss them all when the story ends.

This is my first Eric Jerome Dickey novel... and it will NOT be my last!!
