Review: I found this book's content to be overly simplistic. Van Praagh disappoints me with this Dr. Feelgood approach to spiritual growth. Clearly this book is straight out of Hollywood.

Summary: Enriching and uplifting..
Review: It reminds us of the things we forgot in between Heaven and earth. The truths in this book reverbrate in my soul as I read it. This is the most truthful, beautiful, highly spiritual book I have ever read. It has caused a deep stir in my spirit and reminded me to open my heart to this world, to the seen and unseen. I very highly recommend it, no matter what your spiritual beliefs or your chosen path. This guy is the real deal.

Summary: One of my favorite books
Review: I became fimilar with author James Van Praagh by taking his first book, Talking to Heaven, out of the library. Many a time, I am LED to a book, and this was one of the times. That book had such a deep inpact on me, that I obtained Reaching To Heaven as soon as I heard about it.Reaching To Heaven picks up where Talking To Heaven left off. This book, in some ways, is even better than his first because it probes the spiritual realm even deeper. Since Mr. Van Praagh is a mediumist, there are still accounts of his readings. These accounts are wonderful and moving, indeed. On top of that, he explains the different "bodies of man", the different planes of the after-life, the death experience, and touches upon the notion of karma and how our thoughts are more important than we think. I know, today in society, many people may wonder how James Van Praagh has such information, being he never even had a near-death experience. He does talk to the spiritual world, and whether we want to believe such a world exists or not is up to each individual. However, I do believe if more of us had a open mind, we'd allow more miracles to enter into our lives. We, as humans, don't know everything and cannot measure everything in a laboratory. That is part of the mystery of life. James Van Praagh is just one of the many "messengers" that are showing us where to peek beneath the veil. Maybe it's time for us to receive more information as a society, when the world needs it the most. So, with Reaching to Heaven, we're uplifted, inspired, comforted, and touched. Little did I know, when I had ordered this book, my gradfather had just died, and a pet of 19 years and my godmother had followed shortly thereafter. Having this book was like a blanket on a cold day. For that, I appraise James Van Praagh and his work.

Summary: Life changing!
Review: This book along with James' first book "Talking to Heaven" are the best books that I have ever read. Everything in this book makes so much sense. It reminds us of why we are truly on this earth and how to make our stay here more positive. I would recomend this book to anyone who has an open mind on what happens to the human spirit after it leaves the physical body on earth. I would recomend reading his first book before reading this just because there are a few things that you might not understand as clearly in this book if you have not read the first. These two books changed my life forever!

Summary: One of the best books I have ever read on the afterlife
Review: My mom passed away in May of 88 and I have always wondered how she was doing, and if she could still see me anymore. My questions were answered, and I am so much more at peace with dying now. I think the main lesson we need to learn is that LOVE of people, and love of ourselves is so important! I genuinley try to look for the good in everyone.... Trust me it is there! God Bless James, for bringing peace to so many Lives! If you haven't bought the book, PLEASE buy it NOW!

Summary: Powerfull!
Review: I am extremely pleased with Van Praagh newest book. I have read both books in just two days!. From the moment I started reading Talking To Heaven I felt like I couldn't put it down, so after finishing that one I couldn't help myself but to read his newest book Reaching to Heaven, which I found to be outstanding!. Before reading this books, I was living a big depresion, and it affected every part of my life. Then something very cool happen. I had a dream with my my Grandfather who past away about a year ago. In the dream he looked much younger, and he told that he was going to be watching me for sometime. At first I was skeptic, but as time pass on, I decided to give it a try to this books related to the after-life. In my search I found James Van Praagh book and while reading it, I found out that a lot of the stuff my Granfather told was also in the book. From then on I have became a more spiritual person, non-judgmental, and all the depression and toughts of suicide that I have before I started reading this book, have completely gone. Thanks to James Van Praagh and his Powerfull book for putting my life in order and learned to live to its fullest.

Summary: Beautiful, comforting, and uplifting -
Review: I lost my Dad to lung cancer on November 8, 1998. It was totally unexpected. My Dad had stopped smoking years ago and was a seemingly healthy, active 73 year old. In August, '98, the doctors said they found the cancer early and would be able to remove it surgically (all the tests were supportive). In September, they removed his left lung; the prognosis was good. On October 28th, a post-operative checkup found the cancer had spread through his spine and he was predicted to live 8-12 months. 11 days later, my Dad died. In my grief, I searched for answers, comfort, and understanding everywhere. I found little hope for closure until I saw James Van Praagh on Good Morning America. I immediately ordered Reaching to Heaven from Amazon.com. I read Reaching to Heaven on the plane ride to visit my Mom in March, preparing to arrive and face my Dad not being there. It was my 3rd visit home after his death and I knew how hard it had been to face the reality of his death each time. What a difference! I felt such peace, love, and hope. For the first time, a believable picture of life after death was painted for me. Reaching to Heaven was truly a Godsend for me.

Review: It just makes it easier to go on with life if you knew that you are never alone. It is also good to knew that there is a reason that we have to be sad sometimes. I wish everybody could understand the lessen thaught by good!

Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. It grabs your heart from the first page to the last and doesn't let go even after the pages run out. A must read for the angry heart and all who wish to live a life full of happiness and love.
