Summary: Read "Through the Eyes of Spirit" by Jenny Crawford
Review: "Reaching to Heaven" just dosn't seem real somehow!

I suggest you read Jenny Crawford's book - "Through the Eyes of Spirit" to truly feel the presence and love of those in the spirit world.

James Van Praagh's book "Reaching to Heaven" sounds a bit stretched in detail to me.

Summary: Skip it and Read Altea's "Eagle and Rose" instead
Review: You want to read a really good book on paranormal gifts? Then read Rosemary Altea's "The Eagle and the Rose", which is extremely well-written and informative, while delivering the chills and thrills.

Van Praagh's books (all of them) read like they were transcribed directly from verbal dictation. His descriptions are often vague and repetitive, and not worth your time and money.

Summary: Talking to Heaven
Review: I have been a fan of James Van Praagh for quite some time and have no doubt that he is the "real thing". Talking to Heaven reaffirmed my belief in life after death. I really enjoyed this book and will definitely read others. Mr. Van Praagh comes across as a gentle, intelligent, and honest person. I am truly anxious to reach someone off this stature for a reading, whether by phone or letter. How would one reach someone to acquire this. I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I would like to be e-mailed a name to pursue this request. It is very important to me at this time in my life.

Thankyou.

Summary: HARD TO BELIEVE - BUT HELPFUL!
Review: AS A NEW COMER TO INFORMATION RELATING TO LIFE AFTER-DEATH, I FOUND MR VAN PRAAH'S BOOK "REACHING TO HEAVEN" SO FULL OF INFORMATION, I WONDERED HOW HE COULD POSSIBLY SUPPLY SUCH DETAIL OF THE SPIRIT WORLD. I DID HOWEVER, FIND SOME DETAILS TO BE VERY HELPFUL. I RECENTLY READ JENNY CRAWFORD'S BOOK "THROUGH THE EYES OF SPIRIT" AND COULD RELATE TO THE SIMPLISTIC FORM AND INFORMATION SUPPLIED ABOUT LIFE AFTER-DEATH IN HER BOOK. I AM SORRY TO HEAR THAT MR VAN PRAAGH NO LONGER GIVES PRIVATE READINGS TO THOSE WHO ARE TRULY IN NEED.

Summary: I'm confused...
Review: I read this book because my sister took her own life in August. I was trying to understand why and my search for discovery wasn't helped by the fact that another sister purposely destroyed all of the personal writings of the deceased. Now I find out from the book, Reaching to Heaven, that the demons and thoughts that tortured my sister in life have supposedly followed her into death (afterlife). Van Praagh states that other illnesses (cancer, AIDS, organ failure, even missing limbs, etc.) are cured after death but diseases of the brain, the organ of the mind, aren't. Why is that? I'm confused. I can't comprehend how this is fair or right? Wouldn't a chemical imbalance in the brain be given the same consideration as any other physical illness? I certainly haven't felt comforted by Van Praagh's words, on the contrary, I'm more confused than ever.

Summary: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Review: Thank you once again James Van Praagh for writing such an enlightening account of the after-life. I have read both your books and enjoyed them thoroughly. Recently I read another book called Through the Eyes of Spirit by Jenny Crawford another medium which was also enlightening and offered explanations about how mediumship works. I encourage you to continue your wonderful work. Bless you - Barbara

Summary: Should be on the Must Read List of Spirituality Books
Review: James Van Praagh shows us the way to spiritual transcendence and truth in his book "Talking To Heaven". Revealing our inner divinity and spiritual evolution as depicted by an authentic medium/psychic. For a similar view by a realized spiritual yoga master, I recommend the books by Sri Chinmoy (especially "Meditation" and "Beyond Within").

Summary: You'll finally understand and believe.
Review: The Author and this book are astonishing. James Van Praagh can go to places that the rest of us only dream of. Or do we really "go" when we dream? This book can help those of us who grieve, wheather we miss a human loved one or a dear lttle pet, or both. With this book, you laugh you cry and you hope.......
