Summary: I read this book practically every week! I love it
Review: Sabriel is definetly one of the best books ever written. I read it non-stop ALL the time! If you like fantasy, this is a winner. I can never put this book down. It is filled with so much majestic, pure, power. It holds you and captivates you and as soon as you are done with it, you start over because it was so good and you don't want to be without it. I think everyone should read this awesome book, it is THE BEST!!!!

Summary: Inventive, original, and fabulous!
Review: This is a great book. Where most fantasy novels are trilogies, Garth Nix easily fits the same amount of intrigue and complication without confusion in Sabriel. His characters are lively and realistic; it wasn't difficult to imagine them in real life. I plan on reading this again and reading some of his other books!

Summary: Brilliant!!!
Review: Sabriel travels around meeting dark minions of great proportion such as shadow hands, gore crows, and the worst of all Kerrigor. Sabriel is summoned by a zombie and is given her fathers armor. She sets off into the old kingdom trying to find out what happened to her father. When she passes the wall she heads up to the broken charter stone. She feels sick because of the broken charter stone. she decides to travel into death and ask her (mother)whats going on. She tells her that she has to go to her fathers house where she will be told what to do.

Summary: Suffice it to say I loved it
Review: One word adequetely describes this book: Awesome. There are very few books that I class in the top, top, category of eliteness in my head, and this one got into there without any trouble. Its captivating plot with just enough realism and all the elements that I like in a book were combined with just enough appealing details to leave me running back for more. My sole complaint about the books was theending, which was in my opinion completely unresolved. Merely another chapter would have accomplished that purpose (that of resolving the ending) but that was left out. I have read unconclusive endings that were exceptional and reflected the book in the best way possible, but this just cut off in the middle of the action without any tact or reason. The only way that Mr. Nix can redeem himself for this grevious fault would be for him to write a sequel(hehehehehehe) which I will be eagerly awaiting. Anazing book.

Summary: An unexpected twist on necromancy.
Review: I read this book in 7th or 8th grade (it's hard to remember which), and many years later, I still enjoy it. It was great to read about necromancers who used their powers for good, not evil. In response to the previous review: The system of bells, etc., lends reality to the magic. It really isn't that confusing (remember, YOUNG ADULT category). Also, playing fantasy games doesn't neccessarily mean you understand fantasy--it is a topic too complex to cover in role-playing sessions.

Summary: An increadible novel, my definate favorite...
Review: I am an avid fantasy reader and this book surpassed every other that I've read. It is completely unique and captivating. The young necromancer, Sabriel, really made the story easier to relate to. I definately reccomend this book to anyone who wants a non-clichŽd read.

Summary: "SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE"
Review: Sabriel is a page turner that I couldn't put down. The first was very good but a little hard but the farther I went the more confusing it got with different bells, necromancer, and I'll these charter marks and I got very confused and I do play Fantasy games so no it isn't becuase I don't comprehend fantasy.

Summary: A Must Read Book
Review: This is one the best books I have ever read. I read it in less then a week. I could hardly stop. One night I even read 200+ pages.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A page-turner - kept me reading until the end...
Review: This book is an excellent example of classic fantasy. It has its twists and turns, however. You never know what will happen next until you read it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An outstanding book full of mystery and intrigue.
Review: Garth Nix did a wonderful job crafting Sabriel in such a way that the reader couldn't put it down. I liked it because instead of writing about magic in a scary way laden with witches, gouls and vampires, the author gave a humanity and respect to it. It was an interesting book that broadened my vocabulary a bit. It was humorous but not cheesy and had strong characters. I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes science fiction.
