Summary: A beautifully written book!
Review: I read everything I get my hands on and this book really touched me. She was so misunderstood by her new family, I believe they never gave her a chance. She was more with the times and they didn't want to see change.

Summary: A Bible, A Bible, We Have A Bible!
Review: We are so fortunate that Diana had the foresight to get her true story out before she met such an untimely death. And this "gold" edition is updated with the addition of some final chapters that the first edition didn't have in 1992, so the reader can follow Diana's life from birth to death; not just until the break-up of the marriage. If there is only one book to own about Diana's life, this is it! Written (via tape recorder) and edited (by correcting the author's manuscript) by Princess Diana, herself, this is the story to trust. Diana collectors should not be without it.

Summary: A great and truthful biographical book, wonderfully written
Review: For us admirers of the late Princess of Wales, this book is certainly like a Bible. It is very thourough and painfully eye-opening, especially as it reveals the story of a simple young girl and her very rude - sometimes cruel - awakening to a life where the heart of gold is really as cold as ice. My hat is off to both the Princess and Mr. Morton for having been so courageous.

Summary: Just another vile attempt to make money off of Diana.
Review: In the past I have read many of this authors books, this one however, struck me as rather vulgar. It was published with one thought in mind...the make $$$$$, just the thing Diana detested. If Diana wanted the masses to know it was a firstperson account, she would have told Mr. Morton to do so. I was also very disturbed by the books contents & it's timing.Diana is made out to be this whinning, petty & mentally unbalanced woman bent on revenaging Charles for his lack of fidelity. This is not the Diana I loved....I will always treasure the time she put on this Earth and cherish all her wonderful qualities. I too, was rather depressed after reading this tome.

Summary: Absolutely wonderful and unforgettable book.
Review: I have read all of Andrew Morton's books on the life of Diana, Princess of Wales. I believe them to be the most accurate accounts of the real story surrounding her life. The fact that he had her approval meant to me that his books were not meant to hurt her but to tell the real truth. They are a tribute to her and her sons. Had Prince Charles not betrayed her from the start, she would be alive today and would have made him a good queen and queen mother to his son, the future king of England. In searching for the happiness she was denied, she met with trajedy, which could have all been avoided had her life not been devastated by him. My heart was saddened as I read this particular book, thinking all the while if Prince Charles will ever accept any responsibility for her death. It was a wonderful book, I highly recommend it.

Summary: This is the most depressing, biased book I have ever read.
Review: How depressing to hear a grown woman whining and blaming absolutely everything on her husband. Here she was on their honeymoon, bulimic, slashing herself with knives, throwing herself down stairs, and then she wonders why he begins to distance himself? Diana comes across as truly disturbed and bitter, yet wanting all the perks that go along with marriage to a Royal. Her own long list of affairs rates one or two sentences in this book, but there is chapter after chapter about Camilla. I was glad to finish the book and put it away--it rather depressed me.

Summary: Wonderful book.
Review: This book was done wonderfully and I really enjoyed it. The pictures were also wonderful.

Summary: Quite eye-opening!
Review: This book really makes one wonder why Diana
endured with as much as she did, especially when she had her suspicions before her wedding. Makes one wonder what the true hidden agenda for both really was. "Hats-off" to an author who appears to get at the "heart of the matter", and seemingly very honestly done.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Beautifully written, yet very disturbing
Review: I read this book every night before I went to bed and I honestly had a hard time sleeping after finishing a chapter. It was very disturbing to read in her own words how much she actually suffered. All I wanted to do was turn back the clock, give her a huge hug, and tell her how much we all appreciated her and her peace acts. Morton has weaved a beautiful story of this "English Rose" that no one can seem to get enough of. I do think that it is a little depressing, but terrific!!
