Summary: A sequel that's up to the challenge
Review: High school non-conformist Mia Thermopolis thought she had it bad- what with finding out she's a princess and the rightful heir to the Genovian throne. Then, her Mom drops another bomb on her- Mom is pregnant, and the boyfriend, Mia's algebra teacher, is the father. As if that wasn't enough, Grandmere is now trying to arrange an exclusive interview on "TwentyfourSeven" for Mia. Can't a girl simply worry about finding a boyfriend and passing Algebra like any normal teenage girl? Sheesh.

Mia's latest saga is just as entertaining as her first in "The Princess Diaries". Here, we find Mia desperately trying to police her Mother's food, fight off Grandmere's attempts to keep her in makeup, and find out who the heck "JoCRox" is that keeps sending her admiring instant messages. Could it be Michael Moscovitz, Mia's best friend Lilly's older brother? Mia hopes so, but just isn't sure.

Once Mia appears on "TwentyfourSeven" and inadvertently lets slip that Mom is preggers by and engaged to the algebra teacher, everything goes haywire. Grandmere begins to plan a lavish wedding ceremony, complete with supermodel bridesmaids and guests like John Tesh and Martha Stewart. Meg Cabot has a gift for humor that works at any age level. Reading the account of Martha Stewart solving Mia's Halloween costume problem by fashioning party favors was a hoot. I cannot wait to read "Princess in Love" and find out what happens next.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Another good book by Meg Cabot!
Review: There is some bad language in this book, but what do you expect? It was very humerous, and I liked this one a little better than the first. I suggest starting out with the first Princess Diary book, Volume 1. My favorite part in this book, is when Martha Stewart fashions a crown and wand for Mia. : )
Have fun reading this book!

Summary: More of the same
Review: Mia's life was just starting to get back to normal... or as normal as possible with her grandmother still insisting she attend princess lessons but that is all shattered when her mother announces she is pregnant. The father of the child is her algebra teacher, a subject which she still isn't doing all that well in. To make matters worse, her grandmother insists on planing an unwanted wedding for the soon to be parents. Mia's spirits are lifted when she starts to receive letters from a secret admirer, who she hopes is her long time crush, Michael.

This book is pretty much more of the same. If you liked the first one you'll like this one. It's kind of a transition book leading up to the major plot advancement of Mia's love life in the third book. What I love about this series is how the trivial stuff almost totally makes me forget about the princess plot, which would make a pretty boring book by itself. You may not enjoy this one quite as much as the first but it's still a really fun read.

Summary: More Delicious Nonsense
Review: You unwed mother just got pregnant to your algebra teacher, you have a secret admirer, you're in love with your best friend's brother, you're backwater cousin just came to town and has turned all the girl's heads, your Grandmere is planning a wedding that your mother doesn't want (John Tesh on piano included), and you happen to be the princess of a small country.

Mia is still struggling to keep school and princessing as painless as possible. She's now hopelessly in love with her best friend's brother, Michael, who seems to be harboring a hidden crush on her. She's also trying to stop a first class wedding for her feminist mother who just wants a quiet ceremony at the court house.

Still impossibly gawky, but now coming to terms with herself, Mia is as funny as ever with her comments on life and her friends.Who doesn't want to root for her thwarted crush on Michael, who might be teenage fictions most crush worthy male.

Things are solved as hysterically as always and once again Mia proves she's just a normal teenager trying to deal with life. Another charming entry into this wonderful series.

Summary: Mia's got a boyfriend
Review: I read this book after reading the fourth book in the series and I liked this one. Not as much as the fourth book but I still liked it. I won't give too much away to the people that haven't read it yet. You can read it for yourself.

Summary: Worthy sequel
Review: All I can say is, if you enjoyed reading THE PRINCESS DIARIES, then this one's bound to be a hoot for you too. In PRINCESS IN THE SPOTLIGHT Mia's adventures continue, but we have more of the same snideness and wittiness typical of America's Royal (as Mia is known). She's really funny, and not your typical princess that it's quite a bit of fun to stay tuned to the unfolding story of her life.

I didn't quite like the turn of events at the end, but hey, that's what Book Number Three is for.

Summary: bridging two great reads
Review: This sequel to The Princess Diaries takes the next month of high school freshman Mia Thermopolis' life. October has Mia getting used to the daily princess lessons and constant publicity and bodyguards. Life is just getting bearable when her mother announces that she's pregnant¡¦with Mia's Algebra teacher's baby! Why, God, why?

Meanwhile, Mia's grandmother sets up a high profile TV interview that goes hopelessly awry. Mia is dealing with her embarrassment and the fallout at school when a secret admirer appears. Could it be the senior who Mia has crushed on forever? But Mia can't concentrate on that right now. Grandmere is on her case again, while her mother is in the throes of morning sickness, and her father is dating her interviewer. Why, God, why?

The book's strange adventures are redeemed by Mia's growing maturation and Meg Cabot's humor and memorable characters. It was very enjoyable and hilarious read in succession to the first volume, although it disappointed a bit on its own. Cabot seems to have been a little distracted from her main point, which is Mia. The wacky events in this sequel overshadow her at times and are far removed from those elements of realism that make these books a lovely visit down adolescent memory lane. A decent, entrertaining read, but recommended you read the first and third as well, in order. 2.5 stars

Summary: Another Great Book in the Series!
Review: I thought the second volume of the Princess Diaries was very cool, and very funny. Now that Mia has found out that she is a princess, her life hasn't got anything but more difficult. She has to face many changes- especially with her mom and Mr. Gianni! Mia still has to take princess lessons with Grandmere everyday too, though she really can't stand them. Mia is also doing no better in algebra, though having Micheal (who Mia has a HUGE crush on) tutor her has helped a little bit. On top of all this, Mia starts recieving love letters from someone- but she has no idea who. Surprising and strange ending, and a wonderful book.

Summary: It's so far the BEST!!
Review: I love this book sooo much!! It talks about Mia having a new boyfriend, who the guy she doesn't really like. Her best friend Lilly getting mad at her mostly, and she has a MAJOR crush on her brother, Michael Mocosvitz. This book is WAY better than the first one, (but the first one's still great) and I am going to buy the third book because I bet the series get better one by one!
