Summary: O my gosh!
Review: I read this book in like two days! I loved it! I cannot wait for the next one! In this very original story of a princess of a small European country growing up in America, Mia Thermopolis, or Amelia Thermopolis Renaldo, expresses her inermost feelings of growing up in a seperated family as an heir to the throne. I have not read the first one yet, (I'm going to) but this book totally made sense even without reading the first novel. I loved this book, it will become a classic on my bookshelf!

Summary: My O Mia!
Review: Mia is back and she is really excited to be an older sister! She is not too excited about her algebra teacher being the father of her sibling to be... nor is she too excited about her mother partaken of who knows what carcinogens in meat and beer and who knows what else. Doesn't she know she should stick with items like tofu?! Mia also is not too thrilled that she spilled the beans regarding her mother and her algebra teacher on a national interview. In the process, she might have sent one of her friends to boarding school in New Hampshire as well as making several people made at her. But as Mia will tell you... being a princess is not easy... especially when her grandmere insists on staging a wedding fit for royalty for her mother. Meanwhile, Mia keeps on getting notes from a secret admirer who thinks she is the Josiest girl in the school. What is Mia to do?

This book was even better than volume one! Congratulations to Meg Cabot for this work... I look forward to the next one!

Summary: A GREAT book!
Review: I don't understand why adults are always dissing this book! It isn't written for them, so why are they always talking about how ditzy and stupid Mia is? SHE CAN'T HELP IT! This book is hilarious, and i have read it 5 times! Don't hesitate to buy it for a girl 11 and up. It may be a little old for an 11 year old, but I understood it. IT IS GREAT!

Summary: Crude
Review: While Princess in the Spotlight is a well-written, somewhat interesting story, I will not give it to my 9 year old to read. I haven't decided about whether I'll toss it into the trash or donate it to the library. It's an entertaining, light read. The characters are quite flat and the plot is predictable, but if you want something mindless for a blue day, you'll probably enjoy this one.

Princess Mia isn't terribly bright, and I'm not talking about her algebra grades. She does strike me as the perfect stereotype of a thoughtless and crude teenage girl. Fortunately, not all teenage girls fit this cookie cutter. If you would prefer that your daughter not conform to the dubious "norm", I would not recommend this book. It can hardly be considered a classic, and there are much better uses for her time.

Summary: This author tells it like it is
Review: Maybe you have to be 14 like me to "get" this book, but I don't think so, because my mom just read it--in fact she ripped it out of my hands almost before I was through--and she loved it so I don't think so. Let me just say that this book, and the first one in the Mia series, tells EXACTLY how it is out there for those of us who are not the most popular or attractive people in school. Except that Meg Cabot makes it funny. And nowhere in the book does it say smoking is cool only that the people who "think" they are cool smoke, which just goes to show how really uncool they are, and how hipocritical high school is. This book is the story of my life (minus the princess thing) and I highly reccommend it to all human beings who have a sense of humor (people who don't won't get it for sure).

Summary: A great book
Review: If you liked the first princess diaries book, you will sure get a kick out of this one!
Fifteen year old Mia Thermopolis is struggling to be a normal teenager. Boys, homework, boys again. But on the other hand she is the Princess of a small country named Genovia. Things are getting hectic in her life, Mia's mom is dating her algebra teacher, (by the way what is her worst subject!) everyday after school, Mia still has princess lessons taught by her grandmother Grandmere. Mia has a secret admirer who keeps on sending her letters, but won't tell her who it is. She also has a crush on her bestfriends brother who by the way only thinks of Mia as her sisters bestfriend. Even though Mia is the princess of a small country, you have to look on the other hand. She is also just a normal teenage girl trying to live a teenage life! If you want to read a GREAT book, pick this one up, and you will never be able to put it down.

Summary: Just as good as the first!
Review: Princess Mia is back, this time with even BIGGER problems. Its been a month since she learned she's the only heir and princess of Genovia, and things are not getting any better. First she finds out her mom is pregnant with her algebra teacher's baby! AND they are getting married! On top of this, she has to do a interview on TV, and blows it completely. Then, her Grandmere plans a wedding for her mother and algebra teacher, which will most likely be the biggest event New York has ever seen. AND she has a secret admirier via internet! If only he's Michael Moscovitz...

Summary: Oh Mia!
Review: As an avid reader and fan of "The Princess Diaries" I expected a lot from the sequel "The Princess Diaries II: Princess in The Spotlight". I enjoyed "Princess in the Spotlight", but not nearly as much as the first book. Mia seems to take it all in stride that her mother is pregnant, and she and her algebra teacher are getting married. It just seems a little far fetched for my tastes. Also, too many things happen in this book. While the first book focused mainly on Mia learning about her royal history, and how it affected her life, this was more about her mom and her "secret admirer". Maybe I'm old-fashioned (even though I'm Mia's age), but I just don't like the pregnancy fact, the way her mother and algebra teacher get married (without involving her in any of the decisions) and how Mia doesn't really fuss too much over Mr. Gianni moving in. I would be absolutely NUTS if my teacher moved in. The whole plot just seems a little strange. Don't get me wrong though, besides that I loved this book. The parts where Mia wonders who her secret admirer is, dealing with Lilly, and the hilarity with her grandmother make it a worthwhile read. I was just disappointed with the pregnancy, marriage and whole Mom-Mr. Gianni aspect. If you want a good, fun read, look no further. I certainly enjoyed it!

Summary: And you think your life is hard?
Review: Try being Mia Thermopolis! She has to have princess lessons everyday with her demanding grandmother, Grandmere, who has surprised her by booking an interview with the moste faumous news journalist in America. Mia ends up nearly firing a teacher, infuriating Lilly, her best friend, and revealing to the whole nation that her Algerbra teacher impregnated her mother ! Now there is also the compnent of a secret admirer. Who could it be? I liked this book because it took away some of the stress in my life by letting me examine other peoples' problems. Yet it seemed like such a close, personal book that I felt like the charactors were my friends. This book is awesome!

Summary: My thoughts about Princess Diaries
Review: The book, Princess Diaries was a very good book. I liked it because it kept me reading and was suspensful. I also liked it because it was in diary entry form, I think that helped me understand what she was doing and thinking because it was from a kid's point of view.
