Rating: Summary: Humble beginning to the rich world of Myst Review: The journey of Atrus is one of the more engrossing stories I've read this year. With this book, the world of Myst, where millions of people came to know about in the game, is opening up to reveal a very rich texture of imagination, creativity, language, humanity and endless possibilities without forsaking the oppositing morals of right/good and wrong/evil. The only setback is it came to a pridictable end too soon. Luckily there are two more Myst novels.
Rating: Summary: AMAZING BOOK!!! Review: Myst: The Book of Atrus is one of the best books I've ever read. The only regret I have about it is that I loaned it to a friend, and now I can't get it back to re-read. D'ni, the different Ages, and Ghent, Atrus' insane father combine to create a fantastic book. If you haven't read it you should, and you HAVE to read it if you've played the game Myst.
Rating: Summary: Myst: the book of Atrus goes very well with Myst the game. Review: For any one who has played the extrordinary computer game Myst, Myst: the book of Atrus, will answer questions--and create new ones. Questions that could perhaps be answered by reading other books obut the magical world of D'ni and it's inhabitants. Any one who has not played Myst may understand it without playing the game, and in if in future times play Myst they wil be delighted by the familiar sights described by the book.
Rating: Summary: Myst: the book of Atrus- a "must have" for myst fans. Review: If you enjoyed MYST, then you'll love this book! This story provides background information of events leading up to the game, and answers many questions the typical gamer might have. It also hints at some even older history of D'ni. The story begins in a desert where Atrus, son of Ghen is being raised by his grandmother, Anna. When his father (Ghen) returns after abandoning him as a child, he wants to take Atrus to D'ni, the mystical land of wich his grandmother has told him. At first it seems wonderfull, but Atrus learns that his father is not only un trustworthey, But mad, and that there's no telling what he'll do next... ----------------------------------------Age:13
Rating: Summary: Excellent, a must for every Myst fan. Review: This was almost the best book I ever read. A definite two thumbs up. END
Rating: Summary: Myst, The descriptive nicely written book of Atrus Review: A VERY nice and very descriptive book. Myst was one of the few books that I whined to my mom if I could read longer when it was my bed time.
Rating: Summary: I loved this book. Review: I loved the characters in this book. There was so much MUSTery about the characters. I gave me a wiered fealing when they went into D'ni (Dun-hee).
If you liked this book you should read MYST: The book of Ti'ana(sp). It fills in most of the holes that are left in this book.
Rating: Summary: This is a GREAT book. Review: The book of Atrus explained a lot about the computer game Myst like how Myst was created. It was very descriptive and I couldn't put the book down
Rating:  Summary: Myst: Seeing through the fog. Review: Myst: Once just a CD Rom Interactive Adventure;
has broken new barriers with "Myst: The Book Of Atrus."
A "must" for any Myst-game player. Whether you've played the game before or not, The Book of Atrus uses descriptive detailing to again allow Myst to become your World.

Rating: Summary: Brilliant Captive Writing Review: The sheer depth of understanding obtained from reading this book gives me goosebumps whenever I read it. I give this a high rating because of the high quility writing and story telling. The combinations of story, plot, and description suspend you deeply into a world were imagination and reality merge; where insights into our own culture bring you alongside the main characters as if you were part of their world, yet it seems as if they are also part of ours. Before reding this book, one should read "The Book of Ti'ana" first as that book goes deeper into the past of the D'ni empire, an ancient empire of people who carve their home from the very rock around them. The paperback version of "The Book of Atrus" is just as captivating as the original and definately worth reading
