Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: FBI agent under fire! Review: "Storming Heaven", by Kyle Mills, is a well written novel about mysteries that we deal with in life. A double murder and kidnapping sets the stage for an FBI agent to find out the clues to help the family in need. Mark Beamon, the FBI agent, is very intelligent already has this case figured out before anyone could find any clues. The story is based in a field office in Arizona and before Beamon can put everything together, government officials get in his way of concluding this case. As an FBI agent, the IRS targeted Beamon as an unlawful agent and is suspended indefinitely. Finding that the 15 year old girl was kidnapped and her two parents shot to death by a religious cult as part of a plan ever since the girl was young. Dealing with religion and money, this novel relates to real life situations as we see murders and kidnappings in today's world. I found this book to be interesting because of the mystery trying to be solved by this FBI agent. The FBI agent a normal cop who is very stubborn and thinks he is on top of the world. Talking about religions in America look down on "new religions". Because of the fact that this private cult was high put down. Because of the straight foward style of this book, it was easy to comprehend what was going on in the order it went through. Although, this book looked down on "new religions", this book was well explained and easy to follow. Overall, I would recommend this book because it is intense and it is well written english.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Got it for a rainy weekend - finished it in a day Review: After reading the preview of Storming Heaven in the back pages of Rising Phoenix, I was hooked, and I wasn't disappointed. Mills starts with an intriguing opening that grabs the reader in the first thirty pages and builds on it right to the end. As in Phoenix Rising, my only disappointment with this book was that I felt that Mill's endings are somewhat anti-climatic. None-the-less, I look forward to his next novel.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Entertaining but not spectacular Review: Although the premise is clever, I couldn't muster up enough believability to really get into this book. It would help if Beamon were a more likeable character. Mills first book, Rising Phoenix was much better. I do think this author will improve, and I will no doubt read his next installment.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Read it in a day! Review: Beamon is all too human and vulnerable in this tale of kidnapping, good old boys and religious fanatics. I was snared into the story on page three and kept reading until I finished. I really cared about the characters and wanted vengeance on the bad guy, so to speak. I will definitely read his other books.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Mills is a writer who shows promise Review: Compelling thriller which takes us into the mysterious world of cults and the good and evil forces that underlie their success. FBI agent Mark Beamon is not your typical action book hero. He's an overweight, beer drinking, unlucky in love man who happens to be an extraordinary investigator with an unselfish drive to solve crimes and seek justice. His no-nonsense ways and refusal to play by the rules causes him to catch a lot of heat from his superiors. However, Beamon realizes that he is racing the clock to find a missing teenager girl whose parents were brutally executed and who may be facing the same fate herself. With little to gain and much to lose, Beamon takes off on a hunt that leaves the bodies piling up and his own life hanging by a thread.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Taut Thriller Review: finished storming heaven last night, a buddy gave me all three Mills novels, and i happened to read out of order, i guess...i think mills is nothing like clancy--he is much better---clancy is a wonk/techno geek, but mills weaves a solid, tight story with engaging characters.....he reminds me of a michael connelley(blood work, black ice etc.....)or a slightly better version of the Generals daughter.....i look forward to reading rising phoenix---
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Gripping; page turner Review: From the moment I picked this book I up I was gripped! I was able to relate to the charaters because they seemed like real people. Kyle Mills is an excelent up and coming writer that I am sure I will continue to enjoy.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Take a trip into the wild working of religion and politics! Review: Hang onto your hats. This is an amazing STORY. Don't read it as the gospel, it's a book, and it's a great read. If you enjoyed his first book, you'll love Storming Heaven. Spend the money, get the hardcover! Read on as Mark Beamon twists and turns through a religious empire to save "the Mesiah's" granddaughter. Watch your back, the Kneissians (Nys-ee-uhns) could be watching you too.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A breath- taking race against the clock. Review: I bought Mills' first book Rising Pheonix during a business trip to Washington, and after reading it I could not wait for a return trip to buy Storming Heaven, which I have now read and eagerly await the third installment of Mark Beamon. Storming Heaven is one of the best and well written thrillers I have read. I thought it was a courageous subject to tackle and handled brilliently. Mills is going from strength to strength and I await his next title with child-like impatience.
