Summary: A FAIR BOOK
Review: While I did finish the book it was not one that I couldn't put down. I was bored at times, and disappointed at others. ..But I am sure many people will enjoy it. If you want to read a book that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .A Christmas gift to be cherished forever.

Summary: A real page turner after the bickering stopped!!
Review: What a wonderful gift Anna bestowed on her family's future generations. I'm glad they found out who was in the mysterious grave at the far end of the estate. I'm also grateful that Anna's grandmother had enough foresite to marry her granddaughter to an English nobleman to keep her out of Ivan's cruel hands. The long time affair between the maid and a Malory was well-known!! Hell-lo, Amy saw them kissing and Derek is his son.

Summary: Another Malory Keeper!
Review: I love all the Malory novels (Gentle Rogue my absolute favorite!) and while The Present didn't have as much excitement as previous Lindsey novels, I enjoyed it and I laughed out loud as always when James and Anthony are together. For those Malory and/or Lindsey fans out there - this is a keeper. Now, Ms. Lindsey, I'm wondering how you will write a story about Jeremy that will top the one about his father and uncle . . .

Summary: Not the best, but wouldn't miss it...
Review: I would never miss A Jo Lindsay book and because I have come to expect so much from her novels, this one was a little dissappointing. The family all finally discover where those Gypsy looks come from but really, it's not the scandal we've all been imagining. And all the usual chemistry between the family couples is missing, except for Amy and Warren! What's happened, have they all gotten boring in their old age? I live in England and have a sister in Australia and we are both avid fans and cannot wait to buy every book of hers the minute it comes out(and trust me, we have to wait way longer for them than all you Americans!!) so it is a bit of a let down when they don't live up to the long wait for them. And just like everyone else, I can't wait for the novel on Jeremy, but I think Johanna is going to have her work cut out for her as his lady is going to have to be pretty great to match Our Jeremy!!!!Having said all that I wouldn't hesitate to reread it and will be buying her next one for sure!!

Summary: Pure Malory Magic
Review: What can I say? I just loved this one. And I'm so glad that Lindsey really focused on James and Amy (my two favorite Malorys). As for Christopher and Anna's story--well, Christopher was a HOTTIE in the true Malory fashion and Anna was very likable too. If you are a real Malory fan, you must own this book!

Summary: Happy to know what happened, but disappointed
Review: I want to start by saying that Lindsey is my favorite author, but I was disappointed by this book. It seemed hastily written and lacked the character depth of the previous stories. I didn't purchase the audio version of this book expecially for that reason. I have every book by Lindsay, I usually buy both hard cover and audio of her books. I too look forward to reading/ hearing Jeremy's story, but hope it is not as disappointing as this one. Johanna Linsay, in case you read this, I would rather wait for your next brainstorm than read another obviously rushed story like this.

Summary: One of Johanna Lindseys best
Review: Once again Johanna Lindsey has written a book to be cherished and read over and over again. With "The Present", she reminds us why we fell in love with the Malory family. You get to revisit all of the Malorys as they gather for Christmas. The conflicts between James and Anthony had me laughing until my sides hurt. You can also finally discover the secret of the gypsy ancestor. I loved this as I loved all of the other Malory books. I can't help but read them again and again. I can hardly wait for a book about Jeremy or the Anderson brothers.

Summary: yawn!!!!
Review: This book was a complete waste of time. For a person who's been reading Johanna Lindseys' books for years and eagerly awaiting each and every one, I must say that this was a great disappointment. There was too much 'going back and rehashing' each Mallory romance. Was it either written for old 'Mallory' fans (in which case you didn't really need to rehash each couple's romance) or was it written for new people (in which case the rehash would have been totally confusing and irrelevant)? And the story of Christopher and Anastasia was boring. There was nothing new or exciting in this book and it was thoroughly predictable. I was very disappointed.

Summary: Another great job
Review: I am pleased to say I love all of her book and cant't put them down and want to see more of the Malory novels.
