Rating: Summary: A treat for Malory Book fans Review: The Present is the sixth in the Malory Family series and fans of the previous books will love the opportunity to revisit old favorites and get a glimpse of their stories six years after the end of Say You Love Me. The book has an interesting format and a new love story, the grandparents of the elder Malory's, Anastasia and Christopher. Ms. Lindsey has crafted a book that readers unfamiliar with the series will enjoy, but there are several points in the book that refer to the previous stories and the simplified explanations of the characters do not give the full depth of their motivations to the unfamiliar reader. The conflict between James and George presents an interesting flashback for the reader, but I don't feel that someone who didn't read their story will fully comprehend. If you liked the other Malory books, you will LOVE this one.
Rating: Summary: I POSITIVELY LOVED IT!!! Review: "The Present" is fantastic. It not only tells us of the love story of Christopher Mallory and his rumored gypsy love Anastasia, but it gives us an update on the rest of the Mallory family. The present turns out to be a journal, written by Christopher and Anastasia Mallory, telling the current Mallorys of their struggle against society's laws. Anastasia Mallory was most definitely a gypsy and therefor not in Christopher's class. But against all odds, their love brought them together and made them one. Their story inspires the other Mallorys especially Jason. He's been trying to convince Molly into marrying him but she keeps refusing, not wanting to bring scandal to his name. But thanks to the present, he finally gets her to accept his proposal which brings joy to their son, Derek and surprise yet congratulations from his brothers. The Mallorys are as close as ever and as memorable. "The Present" was the very first Mallory novel that I ever read. It inspired me to purchase the first five Mallory novels, "Love Only Once", "Tender Rebel", "Gentle Rogue", "The Magic Of You", and "Say You Love Me". I loved every one of them and so will you. Trust me!
Rating: Summary: Excellent!!! Review: This book has an excellent plot! I loved it. Great characters, and over all just a great read!

Rating: Summary: love the Malory's Review: The Malory series is the best work I have read ever. I own all of Johanna Lindseys books and have to say you never want the malory books to end. You feel apart of their lives and a part of their family!! Loved them all.
Rating: Summary: The Present is a gift for the heart Review: The Present is an uplifting story based on Lindsey's Malory clan. All the Malory's are back in this book. But there are problems arising. Georgina, ex-pirate James Malory's wife is mad at him and refuses to tell him why. Jason Malory, head of the clan, cannot get his mistress and mother of his son Derek, to marry him. And in the midst of all this, a mysterious present shows up at Haverston. Is it about the mysterious so called Gypsy grandmother, Anastasia Stephanoff Malory? Is she a Gypsy or Russian princess? All is told and the best gift of all is showered on the Malory's as they realize what happiness and love is all about. This is my favorite in the Malory series. Reggie and her husband Nicholas are here, along with Amy and Warren, James and Georgina, Anthony and Roslynn, Jeremy, Derek and Kelsey, and all the other Malory's. Read this and the first 5. You will not be dissapointed.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful!!! Review: This is a Great addition to the Malory novels! I love it when the intire family is interacting- it's just too funny at times. My favirot part has to be James and Anthony's "fight" with the door- it was great! I do recomend reading the other novels before this one though, it will make it much more enjoyable.
Rating: Summary: Nice and spicy Review: This book of ms. lindsey is really Enlightening...to the fact that this is about the ancestors of the lovable Malory clan. Although i like this a little bit less than the other Malory series. I just can't wait for the next installment and i hope this time it is going to be Jeremy's turn to find love !!!
Rating: Summary: I thought this book was a great ending.... Review: I thought this book was a great ending for the Malory Brothers and a great beginning for their children. I have read all of the Malory books and I have to say I am partial to James and George. I hope that Ms. Lindsey will continue writing about this intriguing family. I would like to see how the brothers handle their daughters and the men in their lives.
Rating: Summary: A Christmas To Remember, for sure... Review: The Present by Johanna Lindsey is a historical story about one family's many secrets, sketetons, family tensions, and even an unrequited love! A moving story you won't want to miss!
