Rating: Summary: Interesting, applicable, and timeless... Review: The "Don't Sweat" series provides the reader with tools to organize and prioritize ones life. With the many different pressures placed upon us in our lives, Carlson hits home with this short read regarding the balance between our worklives and our homelife. Broken into extremely small chapters only one to three pages long, it is easy to take some time out and read a few chapters -- appealing to even the busiest of schedules. The only caveat is that one might be bored by the continual emphasis of the same points over and over again.

Rating: Summary: Reading this book REALLY DOES HELP you! Review: The 100 STRESS topics covered that do affect most people who do work (even if you don't work too) were well thought out. The manner that Carlson explains the normal reaction and the revised response is easy to understand and put to use. Just reading this book will have a noticable calming effect on yourself. I even went so far as to buy one for my employer. GREAT BOOK.
Rating: Summary: Don't Waste Your Time or Money Review: The book was short on practical suggestions and long on worthless "reprogam your own mind to accept the situation" advice. I'll save you reading the 384 pages. Don't worry, be happy.

Rating: Summary: Small Stuff Easy to Share with Co-Workers : - ) Review: The Christmas gift hints flew a few days before Santa's arrival, and my wife came through with Carlson's book. Since it was work-related, I was able to use some of those "unproductive" holiday moments at work finishing up this collection of helpful tidbits, and I feel the advice will greatly help those who feel the need to go "postal" in the workplace. Once I completed the book, I placed the chapter titles in an e-mail and sent it to my coworkers (about 50) with some comments and reflections. I almost enjoyed the comments and interaction that resulted more than reading the book itself. Some went so far as to announce that they had never heard of this book/writer before my e-mail, and they were going to buy many copies for family and friends. In addition to e-mails, people stopped me all afternoon on New year's Eve as I made my way out of the building--sharing their thoughts on the chapter titles. The book is an easy, small read. Took me about 10 hours. Good investment. I recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Great reading by the author Review: The is one of the best books on tape available. Carlson sounds sincere and straightforward in the reading. I was able to use segments of the reading the next day at work, and I have no "problem" people or issues. I recommend this to anyone working in or out of an office. Great tips of using your time and others time!
Rating: Summary: Simply a great investment. Review: This book brought a new light to everyday life. It has made me feel better about myself and be able to put up with more of the everyday hussle and bustle without raising my blood pressure to extraordinary levels. As I was on my way to the book store a young driver cut me off and the entire way to the book store I was upset and let it frustrate me. While I was looking through a number of books, "Don't sweat..." caught my eye and I picked it up and the page I opened to was the chapter that talks about trying to learn something from everything that happens. Ironically, Carlson wrote about that driver that cuts you off and instead of getting upset look at it as a way to practice being patient. Needless to say, I found the book I was looking for. I recommend this book to everybody. Everyone will be able to benefit from this book and it is reading that can be picked up and put down. If everyone was to think and act the way Carlson writes about, the world would be an easier place to enjoy life. Richard, thank you for writing this book. It has inspired me to be a better person. Although I will never be completely bearable, this ought to help a tremendous amount. God Bless.
