Summary: The Killer is a What??? Where did that come from...
Review: I listened to an abridged audio version (4 tapes) and wonder if I missed something. Where did the ending come from? I felt like the B side of tape 4 was from some other book??? Keep the supernatural %$&* out and give us a good mystery/thriller with an interesting, well-crafted plot. Skip this one unless you like to be disappointed.

Summary: One of the worst books I've read from one of my fave authors
Review: I discovered Fay Kellerman a couple of years ago and grew enamored of her Peter Decker/ Rina Lazarus series. I excitedly tore into Moon Music but was VERY disappointed. Flat characters and a confusing, ridiculously implausible plotline fatally mar this work. There is little sense of time and place and I never got to like any of these characters. It was a chore to trudge through this book and I did not feel rewarded at the end.

Summary: Please don't judge all of Faye Kellerman's books on this one
Review: This was not one of her best but hardly her worst. Yes, there were some medical mistakes (i.e. you DON'T put anything in anyone's mouth that is having a seizure)but it was an OK mystery. I won't swear off Faye Kellerman because of it. I will agree with another reader that if I had read "A break" one more time the book would have met an untimely death also! I wish the ending hadn't been quite so "imaginative", it seemed that she was tired of writing and went for the most absurd!

Summary: Bad news from Kellerman
Review: This seems to prove that an author should stick with what she knows. When Kellerman writes about the Jewish culture, she seems on solid ground, but her Las Vegas is a cardboard world and her characters without depth or any sympathy for the reader. The plot was ludicrous and should turn off her loyal fans in droves. I, for one, will probalby never pick up another of her novels.

Summary: errors
Review: Kellerman writes (in error) that lumbago is another term for rheumatoid arthritis. I'm afraid I found it difficult to continue reading a book which is so badly researched.

Summary: Faye Kellerman caught the flavor of Las Vegas
Review: Faye Kellerman has come up with a wonderful new cast of characters and a great setting. The plot was tightly woven around the unusual nature of Las Vegas. Having lived there, I could relate to Kellerman's take on the city. She was right on. Her use of Native American and Southwestern cultural themes melded beautifully with the plot twists and turns.

Her characters were quirky, but believable. I think this is the best dialog Kellerman has written to date. I read the whole book in one night, couldn't put it down.

If you like Tony Hillerman, you will enjoy Faye Kellerman's interpretation of similar phenomena.

To Faye Kellerman: you did an excellent job, write more like this.

Summary: good but offbeat
Review: I like this book. The only thing I didn't like was the way Kellerman threw in "a beat" all through out the book.

Summary: one of the worst mysteries I ever read
Review: This novel is so awful that I am convinced anybody can get published. Fortunately, I rented an audio version--abridged and only 4 cassettes long for a trip I made recently. It is not well plotted, it is not accurate with regard to setting (Las Vegas, NV), the characters are barely one dimensional. If you read mystieries stick with real writers like Barr, Grafton, Elmore, etc.

Summary: One of the most dissapointing books I have read!
Review: I decided to take my friends advice and start into Faye Kellerman's books. I was astonished by how much praise she usually gets so I decided to try the new book Moon Music. This is for people who love sci-fi books with absolutely no content. I was extremely dissapointed once I hit the middle of the book. The first 100 pages seemed to have me hooked onto a good murder/mystery book but, I was suprised by the seemingly "quick and not very well thought up ending". This will be the last Kellerman book I read.

Summary: Can't be the same author!!!!
Review: I have read all of Faye Kellerman's books - most of which I couldn't put down! This book was a chore to finish - ridiculous plot, characters, etc. I can't believe Ms. Kellerman even wrote this book. I'll be more selective with her novels in the future. Or maybe, I'll pass all together.
