Summary: Outstanding Work of Spiritual Insights and Poetry!
Review: For me Kahil's words and insights are next to the New Testament, the best expression of our oneness in the Spirit! If you love the book, I would ENCOURAGE you to acquire the Audio Narration that was done by Richard Harris. It will bring you to another level!

Summary: A Mirror
Review: "In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond." Reading Gibran, I was not really holding a book in my hands - I was holding a mirror which reflected the darkest and the brightest depths of my soul...thank you Kahlil for reminding me over and over again of who I really am! And - thank you Carlos from Lisbon!

Summary: Little book, big mind.
Review: Very few people these days are capable of deep thought; Hence, one must go back in time to find something worthwhile to read. The Prophet Illuminates, The Prophet guides, and The Prophet produces. I wrote and published Excape From The Human Race before I'd ever seen or read The Prophet. There is an uncanny similarity between my book and The Prophet. Both the contents and the book covers are eerily alike. The Prophet is a little book written by a big mind.

Summary: A Literary Masterpiece
Review: Seldom am I forever touched by a book. When I read the "The Prophet" for the first time I was 16 years old. I have read it many times since. Gibran's peaceful passages have brought me contentment in everyday life for many years now. I highly recommend this book, especially to the younger reader. Kevin Hines

Summary: A Good Book of Philosophy but Not the Bible
Review: This book Mr. Gibran has written is a deliciously lovely book. Every phrase in this book was something I wanted to take out just to describe it to people. These questions are all questions of life and I will never look at life the same way. Though I enjoyed this book very much, I am shocked to find out some of the comments of other reviewers. First of all, yes, it is a spiritual book, but it is not the Bible. The Bible alone holds more answers than Almustafa explained and/or tried to answer. This book will never come close to the Bible, because the Bible itself holds the key to our salvation - not a fictional poetry book by Kahlil Gibran who wasn't exactly a holier than thou type of person (as I found out during an author research in class.) Though I am ticked to find people seeking the answers to life in this book, I truly truly truly admire this book. Rich and illustrative, philosophically mesmerizing and artfully worded throughout. I know that an average person can not write a book quite like this one. I totally recommend this book to anybody and everybody. A good book to read to children as they grow up, a good book to pick quotes from, and a book worthy enough to be called a classic.

Summary: The story will utterly change your perspective upon life.
Review: I received The Prophet as a gift during a very turbulent time in my life. At the time I felt as though I was simply drifting through life without every stopping to look at what I was passing. Yet as I began to read this masterpiece of literature, it was as if the starved child inside of me was again being fed. I would sit for long periods of time just reflecting upon Gibran's writing, and his inspiring words would reach my soul and satisfy it. His writing is so complex and yet he conveys his message in such a way that the simplest of minds could understand him. He searches for truth and righteousness and is successful in his quest. His words illustarte how just how great a gift life really is, and that we owe it to ourselves to seek happiness. A wise man once said something to the effect of, "Joy is to find eternity in an instant and the universe in a grain of sand." Some might say that this is impossible, but not I. For I have read the work of Kahil Gibran and his divine teachings have enlightened me. We can achieve harmony, however, it is won only through the search for the truth in our souls. If we seek goodness it will find us and our lives will be changed forever. The Prophet has put my soul at ease though my exterior may be in turmoil, and it will do the same for you. If you are lost I urge you with all my heart to turn to The Prophet, and in the words that compose it, you will find peace and salvation.

Summary: A PRECIOUS GIFT FROM SOMEONE SPECIAL
Review: A 'special' friend offered me this book.It is very precious for me as it is a gift of love.Everytime I read this book I think of him. I think that it is an interesting book that can be gifted to someone very dear.

Summary: Phenomenal
Review: This book exposes divine secrets that were there the whole time but we never bothered to see. It is a philosophic masterpiece. I have a hard time deciding whether Gibran's lyrical words are prose or if they are actually poetry. Either way, the words flow like a stream and say the most heartfelt things. Anyone could love this book.
