Summary: Enjoyable Read
Review: Wizards First Rule was an easy, enjoyable read; the type of novel to peruse in front of a fire on a cold day. Each character played a specific, defined role and, in some aspects, read like a script. The real star of the novel was the plotline. Still, it was a fun read and I would recommend the book.

Summary: Addictive.
Review: Oh yes, I thought this book was VERY addictive. I read this while on vacation so staying up past 1 in the morning was no problem. Upon finishing the first book, I was immeadiately looking forward to the second. Everything fits in their own place and there is space in the text for you to laugh or frown or think. For a very long time, I have read no book that could make me think about how the story would end (excluding mystery books). I have always went along with the book, accepting what was happening and why is was and how the characters were going to solve their problem. But around the middle, it started a new subject, allowing you to think of how this would change the story and why this would happen. Also leaving time for you to question about the other people in the story. This is very rare. I didn't realize, until the end, how everything fit together to form the ending. Unlike Robert Jordan's WoT series, this book's ending actually tied up ALL the loose ends... This is a good book, it truly is.

Summary: Some strong suits
Review: As a person who has read the whole series to this point, I have to say that the characters do not progress-at all. Kahlan is always headstrong putting herself in harms way. Zedd makes the same jokes, and Richard always comes across a little too stubborn and self-righteous. They are somewhat interesting people, but by remaining stationary characters their behavior becomes very predictable. Now for the positive, Goidkind's story is interesting enough for a paperback purchase. And while the characters are rather tedious, their situations are rather interesting. The enemies are acually evil, rather than just being described as being evil. It is one of the few series' were I am almost more interested in the story prior to the current situation. This book is a decent setup for the series and is necessary to follow the rest at least from a plot standpoint. However, Wizard's First Rule is not my favorite of the series. And as for the criticism of Terry's description of The short and Long Tailed Gars, I will say that if it is true that he really likes Tolkien he must be used to an over abundence of descrition that has very little affect on the storyline. Read this series if you like Robert Jordan. At least he seems to be staying on track, although Jordan started his slump with book six, so I guess we'll see in the next few months.

Summary: Watch Out Jordan
Review: I picked this book up while waiting for Robert Jordans next book. I found I was unable to put it down. From cover to cover the action and intrigue was great, it left you hanging to the last page. The best part is that each book is an almost seperate story. You can read one or two adn leave it. Jordan's epic is up to 8 with no end in sight and seems to have reached a slump. Overall I found the energy of this book outstanding, I have since read book 2 and look forward to 3, 4, 5, ....

Review: Wow. That would sum it up rathr well... I have read few books with such great a story as to make me want to read it again, and again, I've actually read it three times! And I have read no other seires that continuse with such fluidness as this. If anyone asks for something to read, I tell them this.

Review: MY FAVORITE book EVER... At first my favorite book was in the eyes of a dragon by steven king...then someone let me borrow this one and I must say it is the BEST fantasy book ever. If you like fantasy this is a MUST READ. It just amazes me where he gets his imagination from. I have read the whole series and can not wait for the next book to come out.

Review: i started reading his books over a year ago... i have read them all including the 5th at least2 times... some as much as four... i have had 5 people read the first book and have read every other one... Goodkind has an original concept of 2 sides of magic... something i have been thinking about for years but could never get a grasp of it like he has... he has in depth chracters and great twisting plots... i cant wait for the next book

Summary: I don't understand
Review: I truly don't understand how The Sword of Truth series has made a millionaire out of Terry Goodkind. It is a mockery of epic fantasy, with tired, overworked cliches and little to no originality. Characters in children's novels are more original and interesting: Curious George comes to mind. Even worse is his writing style. It's sophomoric and unrealistic. I sincerely hope that majority of readers that liked this book were below the age of 30. Any rational, sane adult who knows anything about fantasy and/or writing MUST know that this is not good fiction.

Summary: Sugoi! It's the best book I have read!
Review: All I can say is that this has been the most enthralling book that I have ever read. My friend introduced me to this book and I have never turned back; I am grateful that she did. It sucks you into the world of Richard Cypher - a world full of magic, romance, adventure, and truth - and lets you live it. The characterization and plot are well fabricated and exceptional. Goodkind didn't just tell me a story, I learned from this book, there's a lot of truth in it. Page after page, chapter after chapter, I read this book till I finished it from cover to cover, which I might add took quite a long time since it was about 800 pages though it was worth the dinner I skipped out on ^_^. What else can I say but to buy this book ( as well as the ones after) and enjoy the world he creates. It's such a great book I even suggested it to my teacher. Well I truely hope that you read it, just remember books are for enjoyment.
