Summary: Best one in years!
Review: This book far surpasses her last few and reminds me of All the Queens men, which I liked. Be prepared to stay awake or read this in one sitting because you won't be able to put it down. I'm glad that Linda Howard has returned to her sexy romantic style but has managed to integrate it into a compelling story.

Summary: Livin' on coffee - 'cuz I couldn't put it down last night!
Review: Since she has authored so many delicious reads, I know that I can trust a book by Linda Howard. It's never money wasted. Even her worst is better than most author's best. I often reread them rather than buy a new book by someone else (my favorites being After the Night, Now You See Her, and Dream Man).Cry No More was absolutely outstanding. It was simply impossible to put the book down and go to bed - the last third is soooo compelling - it just blew me away! I loved the strong hero and brave heroine - their quirks and vulnerabilities were gently revealed. Heavier in theme than most of her other works, it was none-the-less a page turner. It was a deliciously sensual and suspenseful adventure, a thrilling roller coaster ride, alternately tear-jerking, tender and joyful. (And those fabulous love scenes kept me reaching for the fan). An author myself, I am humbled by such talent. I await her next book with utter impatience. Damn, Linda. Keep up the GREAT work.

Review: Not only is Linda Howard's latest novel filled with suspense and sizzling attraction, but the thematic element of emotional anguish throughout this read gives this novel a multidimensional quality. Milla Boone's life is almost perfect at the novel's onset, as she adores both her physician husband David and their six-week old son Justin. But a trip to the marketplace in Mexico where they are living ends in disaster when Justin is stolen from her arms, and she is stabbed in the kidney. Fast-forward ten years when Milla has founded Finders, an organization dedicated to helping locate missing persons. Because of Milla's single-minded determination to find Justin, her marriage ended in divorce just a year after her son's disappearance. Milla's sorrow at the loss of her son is a palpable thing, ever present in her life, only somewhat dimmed when she is able to locate another missing child. When an anonymous tip mentions Diaz, Milla travels to Mexico, believing that he may be the man who stole her child. Through her encounters with Diaz, Milla learns that he had nothing to do with Justin's disappearance but is a paid assassin, working for both the Mexican and U.S. governments, and he has agreed to help her find the men responsible for Justin's kidnapping. An unlikely connection between two lost souls blossoms into an attraction that neither Milla nor Diaz can deny. While the careful reader will soon discover the likely suspects in Justin's disappearance, the continued suspense, coupled with the mystery surrounding Diaz, gives this novel a cloak and dagger effect. Review: This was definitely not a typical "Linda Howard" book.
It was just OK. she can do better and i hope she does with her next book which is coming out in July and another one in December.

Summary: Worth The Wait!!
Review: In 1993, Milla Boone and her husband were living in Mexico. David Boone is a surgeon and went to Mexico to volunteer a year's service at a free clinic. One day while shopping at the market, two thugs approached Milla and ripped six week old Justin from her arms. She fought back and scarred one man for life and for her efforts she was stabbed and left to die. Milla was rushed to the clinic where her husband saved her life. After recovering, Milla had one goal in life and that was to find her son. Relentless in her ten-year search, she and David divorce and Milla starts the organization called "Finders". Their mission is to find lost or stolen children and eventually branches out to find any missing person. Milla does well finding lost loved ones of others but she cannot find her son. Why? She finally comes in contact with James Diaz, an undercover bounty hunter/assassin. Diaz agrees to help her search for her son and she makes progress after ten years of following tips that end up going nowhere. That's all I'm going to say about the story because I don't want to include any spoilers but there is so much more. It's been eighteen months since Linda's last book and if you are a fan of hers as I am, the time seemed like forever. But it was well worth the wait. If you have never read any of her books I would recommend you try this excellent story and get out your tissues.

Summary: You'll cry more for CRY NO MORE.
Review: This book may not be Ms. Howard's greatest achievement, but for the tears it wrung out of me, I have to give it 5 stars. I devoured the book last night in one sitting, and sobbed through the later chapters. My 21-year-old son walked through the room while I was blubbering, and when I explained it to him, he got a little teary-eyed, too. A tragic tale of baby snatching and a mother's devotion. I highly recommend it!

Summary: Bring your tissues!
Review: Linda Howard has always been a favorite of mine so I eagerly awaited the release of 'Cry No More'. This book started slowly but the finish more than made up for the slow start. Howard tackles the very difficult subject of illegal adoption rings and of kidnapped infants and the consequences for the families they leave behind and the families who adopt them. Milla Edge led a blessed life until the day her six week old infant, Justin, was stolen from her arms at a Mexican market. Since that dreadful day she has spent her life searching for her son and other lost children. Finally she gets a real lead regarding the whereabouts of Justin but she needs help. She turns to James Diaz (Diaz) a dangerous assassin whose reputation is more formidable than the enemies she seeks. Together they track the ruthless baby sellers and put their own lives at risk to find a child. The story is well told and heartbreakingly real. Make sure there are tissues nearby when you get to the final hundred pages. I was interrupted several times while finishing this book and each time I returned to the story I cried more than the previous times.

Summary: I Loved this Book!!!
Review: This book was great!! I was up until 3 in the morning to finish it. I am normally hesitant reading stories about children, but LH is one of my favorite authors, so I took a chance. I am so not sorry I did. The story was heartwrenching, but hopeful and I kept cheering for the heroine and hero. Sometimes as "romance" authors become suspense authors, the romance becomes non-existant to the story. However, this is not the case with this book. I felt the attraction between the two and I loved the resolution to this book. I also enjoyed the epilogue. I felt it wrapped things up nicely. Linda Howard is back with this book!! If only she could write faster and release books more often!!

Review: Milla was just twenty three when she was plunged into a nightmare that no mother should have to endure. Her son of just six weeks was wrenched from her arms while she fought to keep him in her arms, almost losing her life in the process. Although deeply in love, her marriage was unable to hold together due to the strain. Milla could not let go of her plight to find her missing son, even though ten years have passed. At first it was just a few whipsered words of 'Diaz' that caught Milla's attention. Soon, she was sure that Diaz was the man she was looking for, whose eye she gouged that fateful day, or someone that could help her find him. Pursued by demons that won't be laid to rest, Milla offers a reward for any information leading her to Diaz. When she meets him, although terrified, Milla knows he is the only one that could lead her to her son. Coming together in a explosion of chemistry, Diaz and Milla resume the search for her missing son, while Diaz has another agenda. Although this book is engrossing, it is nowhere near as captivating as her other novels. The chemistry, though it was there in Cry No More was not anything like her other novels. I would recommend this book, but I would recommend that you start with some of her others first...After the Night, Shades of Twilight, and Dream Man are all great novels by Howard. It seems to me that when an author goes to hardback, her writing deteriorates rapidly. I truly hope this doesn't happen with Howard as she is one of my favorite authors.
