Summary: O'Reilly Tells It Like It Is
Review: In a world where the ultra-liberal media tells us what to think and feel, it is refreshing to see Bill O'Reilly have what it takes to stand up and say what most Americans really do feel. Most liberals who have read this book (and most haven't, yet they feel they can comment on it) are upset at O'Reilly's frank, blunt delivery. He doesn't pull punches .... O'Reilly tells us to take responsibility for our lives and ourselves which to any liberal is pure out and out evil. Blame everyone and anyone - except yourself. WARNING: To anyone who allows CNN to think for them - this book will be indeed an eye-opener!

Summary: I thought it was excellent....
Review: Well, the last two chapters didn't blow my dress up, but the rest of the book was great. Straightforward, practical, middle-class wisdom.

It's the sort of things I teach my kids: work hard, don't b.s., be polite, and be someone people can count on. Also be on time and get rid of the nose rings.

Every parent should study this book and think about how it will make them better parents, better persons, and... happy. Yes, satisfied with what they have and willing to leave this planet better off and with people remembering you as a good person.

Nothing in this book is too difficult to understand. Read it with an open mind and you'll no doubt find it profitable in many ways.

Summary: Bill O'Reilly Hates Everybody Equally & Tells It Like It Is
Review: Outspoken would be the best single word used to describe political commentator Bill O'Reilly. After having spent years in journalism, Bill has become the most popular commentator on television, outdrawing Phil Donnahue to the point of the latter's show being cancelled and offering a refreshing, much more balanced opinion than pundits like Michael Moore or Rush Limbaugh. This book, O'Reilly's first, captures the essence of his style on television and the radio quite nicely.

O'Reilly seems to hate conservatives and liberals alike, defying those who would try to neatly categorize him, and his commentary runs the gamut from foreign relations to immigration to social mores--upon all of which Bill presents his unabashed opinions. You may not always agree with Mr. O'Reilly, but you cannot deny that he tells it like it is and tolerates no degree of politicizing, ideology, or spin in his presence.

Give Bill O'Reilly a try; he's a much more refreshing voice in modern political commentary than the tired old windbags like Rush or Michael Moore.

Summary: Excellent book!!!
Review: Gives an insight as to who the real Bill O'Reilly is and what his beliefs are. A must read.

Summary: Necessary idiocy
Review: a guaranteed low-IQ generator that's sure to keep thousands of conservatives (and I mean that word in the worst possible sense) perpetually grovelling in their paranoias about the evil "liberal press" and other useless hallucinations. Can America be dumbed down anymore? Sure.

At least Bill O'Reilly is expert on the "Completely ridiculous" in our society - for he earnestly churned out its news night after night for years on tabloid tv. The fact that people take this stuff (Limbaugh-inspired) seriously, assures me that true libertarians shall always be listened to.

It's almost as if the universe from time to time spawns a character like O'Reilly to create a necessary backlash and wake up intelligent mindsets to the horrifying possibilities for powerful - yet demented - voices in the media.

Keep up the ridiculous work, Bill. We apparently need it.

Summary: An entertaining read
Review: If you like Bill O'Reilly then, more than likely, you'll enjoy this book. I did. I found it interesting to read his views on certain issues. In particular, the humor he finds in them.

Summary: Remember, The Spin....Stops Here!
Review: O'Reilly unequivocally has THE best show on TV - the only one that I absolutely CANNOT miss. After reading this, I feel like I know what makes O'Reilly tick - and what ticks him off(too many things to list). O'Reilly tells about his many(and I use the term loosely) run-ins with the powers that be - from his dirty bosses along the way to the pampered rich and famous of today. O'Reilly gives his sage advice on a plethora of topics ranging from "The Sex Factor"(respect your partner) to "The Job Factor"(be punctual, bring energy and creativity to work, & stay with projects until completed and then follow up results and you will become indispensable). Along the way, O'Reilly opines about everything imaginable under the sun - including his double date with The Donald - imagine that! A good, quick read worth a look for all O'Reilly fans. The spin stops here.

Summary: Down and dirty
Review: Mr. O'Reilly does a good job of summing up his personal ideology. I enjoy his show and this book very much.
But Mr. O'Reilly is too kind to the American people and its overlords. Americans are essentially ruled by government employees they do not vote for while government-sponsored crimes are cloaked in national security. Millions of citizens traverse the nation's roadways fearing police even though they are law abiding, knowing police use their power to generate revenue and not dispense justice or practice a benevolent watchful eye.
Many millions of people in America are forced to absorb the impact of failed economic policies in their bank accounts and credit ratings where credit bureaus wield more power than most government agencies in their ability to ultimately destroy the opportunties of individuals.
We as Americans have free speech somewhat but little more. Saying a prayer can generate as much heat as the Maplethorpe exhibit if said in the wrong places.
We are a nation where we condone our government assassinating foreign leaders, sentencing innocent men to life imprisonment or the death penalty, and where business and regulatory agencies regularly cohabitate and in the end fail to protect us from harmful environmental contaminants. Police in some areas use torture and such to extract confessions and our prisons churn out graduates accustomed to gang rape and all tiers of violence- even though this is denied.
In America the politicians do not rule or serve but are dictated to by private forces unaccountable to the majority.
In America is almost better to be gay than straight, black or hispanic than white or american indian.
Here, education is put at a premium but an education does not guarantee you a good job.

Summary: A Great Read
Review: This is a great read. Whether you agree with Bill O'Reilly or not doesn't matter. He is opinionated and doesn't mind sharing his opinions with the reader. His book is set much like his show. Small vignettes that are broken with bold face headlines. His book covers his view of the world and his personal beliefs. He doesn't ask you to believe what he believes, only to think it through. O'Reilly covers his upbringing through his rise in the news industry. He doesn't apologize for his arrogance because he believes it is well deserved. He tends to be on the political right side of most issues, but that doesn't stop him from skewering the conservatives when he feels they are ducking the hard questions. His best stories are about his dealings with celebrities and their nutty views. A throughly enjoyable read

Summary: Fair book at best
Review: Look...I know O'Reilly is a pompous jerk but I take that for granted and I refused to let myself be biased when reading this book. That being said...when I finished this book I realized that not only do I think that he is pompous, but also extremely obvious and boring. The points he thought he was being brilliant by making were so obvious that ANYONE could think of them. I guess his audience just aren't rationally thinking people and buy into his "genius ideas." However, the part of the book I did get enjoyment from were the cracks and stories he tells of celebrities. I like how he names names and calls celebrities on their actions or lack their of. He's one of the only celebrity watchdogs. Had it not been for the celebrity attacks, this book would have been a disastrous bore.
