Review: This book is about Stone Fox by John Reynolds Gardner. I liked this book. I gave three stars to this book because it is a sad book. I like happy endings. The main characters are Willy, Willy's grandpa, and an Indian named Stone Fox. This book is about Willy's grandpa who owns a potato farm and gets sick because he owes $500 in taxes. Then Willy sees a poster about a dogsled race. He would never lose with Searchlight his dog. The ending is really sad. I think Stone Fox did a sweet thing. I would recommend this book to my big brother.

John Reynolds Gardiner wrote Stone Fox. I really liked this book because I think it is interesting. I think it is not boring. My favorite character was the dog Searchlight. He sounds like a cute, fun, and strong dog. I am so glad that Willie entered the race to win the winning prize money. I think it is very mean that Willie's Grandfather just lade in his bed one morning and didn't get up. He scared Willie out of his wits because he thought he was dead but he wasn't. You shouldn't run away from your problems like the Grandpa did. He ran away from his bills. I recommend this book to people who don't give up.

Review: I disliked this book Stone Fox by John Reynolds Gardiner because I like funny stories! All the story talks about is needing money to pay taxes. Then his poor grandpa gets sick. My favorite character is little Willy because he is so confident and spiritual. He really shows me how to believe in yourself. Yes, that may sound interesting to you, but not me. This book does not grab my attention.

This story took place in Wyoming. In this story the ending was unexpected. It was also very sad. I thought this book was ok. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes snow sledding or dog sled racing.

Review: Stone Fox by John Reynolds Gardiner was okay. This book had many opinions. I say that it was sad, but still had some suspense. Willy, the main character, had a dog, and a grandfather. All three of them lived together on a farm. Every morning grandfather would wake up early and made them all breakfast, then woke Willy up, and then they would begin their work. One morning, Will woke up late. 'Something is wrong. Very wrong.' Willy went to the kitchen to look for grandfather. Grandfather had become ill. It was the kind of illness that a person gets when there are money problems. Willy has to get some money, so grandfather will be well again. Willy entered a town-wide race against the undefeated winner, Stone Fox. With only Willy and his one dog, Search Light, they together try to triumph the race. Will they win OR, will grandfather die?

The only thing that can make grandfather well is if Little Willie can win [$$]. Willie decides to enter the dog sled race.
