Review: Stone Fox is more than an action packed adventure story, it is a story about a pre-adolescent boy trying to cope with and superceed lifes struggles. My seven year old read this story in one day, he was so eager to find out what happens. I too enjoyed it as a good read. Stone Fox teaches us the importance of caring for one another, the strong friendship that exists between children and their dog, and the importance of perseverance in life, and to not give up!! It is an easy read and so well written, your child may not even realize the lessons the book has to teach them in the process. As a parent I would recommend that you read the book as well so you are able to discuss the ending with your child, and focus on the positive side of the ending.

Review: I think, I mean, I know it is the best book I have ever read. As a first grader my teacher Carolyn Fields read it to my class and we got to watch the video. The author's ideas were excellent to create a story about a boy who cares for his grandfather when he gets sick. It is a story about love and friendship and family.

Review: I rated this book 5 stars unlike other people who didn't understand the book and rated this book 2 or 3 stars. I rated 5 stars Beacause it's dramatic,has a little,and deals with real life situations. I would recomend this book if you like dramatic endings and hanging endings. This book is about boy named little Willy who helps his Grandfather farm potatoes. One day his Grandfather gets sick. Then little Willy has to enter the National Dog Sled Race to help Grandfather get better(the race is really exciting. One of the competiters is Stone Fox who has 5 Samoyeds and never lost a race.Will Grandfather get better? Will little Willy beat Sone Fox and win the race? Readthis book to find out.

Review: Stone Fox is a very good book. I would rate it five stars. You should read about where Little Willy lives, what he does, and how he does it. Part of the book is about a National Dog Sled Race. This book will probably be fun to learn about. Especially what it would be like to live on a farm. Most of the story is fiction, but the author thinks the end might be true. I really liked the book because it had some happy and depressing parts. I don't really like books with only happy or only depressing parts. I hope this helped you decide on a book to read. That's why I rate this book 5 stars!

Review: Stone Fox is a great book.Sometimes it can happy,sad,or sometimes it can be exciting.The book Stone Fox is about a ten year old boy named Little Willy that has a wonderful grandfather that sometimes can be a real jokester.Grandfather always gets up real early but one day grandfather would not get up.Little Willy thought it was a joke at first,but then he figured out it was not.Now it is up to Little Willy to find out what is rong with Grandfather and make him well again.Read this great book to find out what will happen.

Review: Stone Fox is a good book.A 10-year old boy has a sick grandfather.And that's not the only problem.The boy (named little Willy)has to pay 500 dollars or their farm will be taken away from them!The only way to get 500 dollars is to win the National Dog Sled Race.Little Willy has a dog.Her name is Searchlight.She is a black dog with a white spot on her forhead the size of a silver dollar.Little Willy and Searchlight try to beat other racers and Stone Fox, the legendary Indian. Stone Fox has never lost a race, but could this be his first loss? Can Little Willy beat him? I like this book because it's exciting to me. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five stars is because there is something in Chapter 10 that makes me give it four stars. The only way you can find out what it is, is to read Stone Fox.

Review: Stone Fox is a great book! It is kind of funny, but kind of depressing. My favorite part is when Dusty, the town drunk said "Was Denver, Stone Fox snapped a mans backwith 2 fingers. The book is much different than the movie. Though they're both good. The book took place in Jackson, Wyoming. Well, it's about a little boy that lives with his grandfather and they own a farm. So litte Willy (the little boy) had to pay taxes for the farm. So he entered the dog sled race and little Willy had to keep up the farm. So when Clifford Snyder the tax man came, Willy didn't know about taxes. But if he didn't pay, the farm would be gone. So he entered the dog sled race with his dog, Searchlight. They tried to win the race against the greatest competitor,the Native American, Stone Fox.

Review: I rated this book 4 stars because it is a good book but not the best.Stone Fox by John Reynolds Garainer is set in Wyoming on a potato farm with Little Willie,Grandfather ,and Searchlighit the dog.Grandfather gets sick. Little Willie is determined to help Grandfater get better and save the farm It's an excellent story about a boy who can take care of himself his grandfather and the whole farm.It's exciting to find out how he does all of this.
