Review: Most people believe that short stories are not the best stories in the world, but rather the long novels are. But this book has virtually disproved that saying. I am a 12 year old reader, and I love long novels about mysteries and romances. I am not one for stories with themes or morals. But this is one book that has totally changed that for me. My third grade teacher read Stone Fox to me, and at the end, my whole class was crying. It is so moving and wonderfully written, words can not express the love I have for this book. Little Willy was forced to make mature and wise choices, and he made these choices on behalf of his very sick Grandfather. Then one day he found a poster for a dog sled race, and the winner got $500! Little Willy was sure that Grandfather's disability to pay the taxes was the cause of his sickness, so money would be the remedy! But he is up against 10 to 1 odds, because of the almighty indian, Stone Fox. What happens will make you happy and extremely sad, so be prepared for one of the saddest, yet one of the best books around.

Review: This is a wonderful story about a young boy, his faithful dog, and his quest to obtain $500 to save his grandfather's farm from foreclosure. A word of warning: DON'T read this to children without knowing that the ending is very sad and will make anyone, even adults, cry and weep. This is not a book to read to children if you have not read it and are not prepared to help them deal with the ending. Dog lovers will take it especially hard.

Review: This book is about a boy name will who lived with his Grandfather , and his Grandfather is sock because his Grandfather have to pay moneytho someone so that is why will's Grandfather is sick. Then will found out why his Grandfather is sick, will's Grandfather have to pay 500 dollars. And will want to help but his Grandfather said, "No". Then will went to a store to get him and his Grandfather food. Then will saw a posterthat said, dog race. Reward 500 dollar so will enter the race. ( He have a dog named searchlight.) And a Indian named stone fox never lost a race. And he is going to enter. I liked because it is mysterious.

Review: Stone Fox is a great book for all elementary students. It is about a ten year old boy (named little Willy) and his dog Searchlight. His grandpa is keeping a secret from him which is the cause of grandpa being sick. When little Willy finds out what the secret is he learns that he must get 500$ and fast. What luck, there just so happens to be a dog sled race going on and the prize money is 500$! When he enters he knows he must win and if he doesn't grandpa won't get better and their farm will be taken away from them. Little Willy feels very confident in himself, but the great Stone Fox is coming. He has never lost a race. Does he beat the great Stone Fox? Does grandpa get better? Do they keep their farm? Use my advice and read the book to find out.

Summary: A Must Read, "Stone Fox."
Review: I gave this book Stone Fox 3 stars. There 3 reasons why. First, it was easy. It was easy.Because the size of the words. The second reason is that it was short. I mean it only had 81 pages in it. Finally, the last reason is about the grandfather. He gets sick. And he's old too. I'm sentimental about that stuff. I would recommend this for 5th and 6th graders. Also,for people who like farming and that western kind of stuff. It's easy, short, and interesting.

Review: I think Stone Fox is a great book. It is about a boy who lives on a farm with his grandfather and their dog named Spotlight. They were poor and couldn't pay their bills, and the grandfather was sick. The boy starts training Spotlight to be a dogsled racer to win enough money to pay the $500 they owe. He enters a contest and it has a great ending. It's happy and sad at the same time.
