Willy's grandpa did in the Stone Fox by John
Reynolds Gardiner. It is a very powerful book. It
will bring out the good and bad times. It is about a
little boy named Willy who lives with his grandpa
and his dog Searchlight, but when Willy finds his
grandpa in his bed everything changes. I would
recommend this book to people who have a heart
of gold and love to help others. If you think racing
for your life is exciting then race over to your
nearest bookstore and pick up the Stone Fox. I
learned that if you love someone and they're in
danger you can help them.

Review: The story I read was Stone Fox by John Reynolds Gardiner. I thought it was a good book. I would recommend it to a friend. I gave this story a four star rating. My favorite character was Search Light because she was a very good dog to Little Willy. My favorite part of the story was when they almost won the race. I would also recommend Stone Fox to a friend.

Summary: Hauntingly memorable
Review: I read this book when I was in 3rd grade and it has stayed with me ever since. For years I have wondered where it had gotten off to, continuously haunted by the power of the story and the uncommonly judicious characterization. I was even physically affected by it then, and remembering it today, I cannot help but get shivers. I am gratified to have found it after all these years--this is truly a book that will stay with one forever, provoking much the same reaction, more than a decade later, as when I first read it as a susceptible 8-year-old. I recommend it to any and everyone.

Review: Even though you win several times in a row that doesn't mean you will win again is what we learned from this book. The book was sad in some parts such as when Searchlight died. We learned that even small people can win at games. Our class learned that some people just look really mean but really are not. The book was very exciting when Stone Fox and Little Willie raced. Miracles can happen all the time. If you enjoy stories about dogs this is the book for you.

Review: Our class thought that many parts of the book were interesting. Everyone read the book while in a group. Many parts of the story were sad such as when the dog died. We learned that you should keep trying something and not to give up. The book taught us that you should us more than one dog in a sled race. Everyone learned that people and animals should not be made to go faster than they can. Our class feels that everyone would enjoy this book because the book was very exciting.
