Rating: Summary: THE KILLING GAME IS THE BOOK YOU CAN'T PUT DOWN! EXCELENT! Review: This book is a page-turning, horror book. If you read 1 book this year make this the one. I'm 13 years old and I read this book in 3 days. I couldn't put it down. The surprising events Johansen writes are excelent. I've read many books but this is my favorite. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: A must read! Review: This is a great book from start to finish. It inspired me to read several more by Iris Johansen. They have all been great.
Rating: Summary: I was hooked! Review: At first this one was hard to get into like The Face of Deception. However, once you're in your're hooked! This is a great tale of suspense, deception, cat and mouse, you name it! This author does a great job of pulling you in and keeping you on the edge, something that Johansen gets better at with every book. I would have liked a bigger ending but the one I got was fantastic. I highly encourage you to read this book and all of the others by Iris Johansen.
Rating: Summary: The Killing Game Review: One of the best books I've read. Love it along with the other two in this series. Have recommended to many friends all have loved them. Couldn't wait to finish. Will reread many times.
Rating: Summary: The Killing Game Review: I bought this book in June when it was new in paperback, and I thought I was crazy for doing it because I had a pile of books to read at the time. I finially got around to reading it in September, but only got 50 pages into it or so when distraction previaled and I started to read something else. Finially this November, I got around to picking it up again because I was deseperate for something to read. I didn't put it down again after I picked it up. It was amazing. I've never seen such interesting writing when it comes to susspense books. As I went along I was thinkging to myself absently the only thing that would make this better would be romance, and then there it was. Romance. So it has everything you could want from a book. I do suggest reading it, I did, and I now only have one more of Iris Johansens books to read and I've found none of them to be bad. This however is my favorite.
Rating: Summary: Who will win? Review: I kept turning page after page, I could not put it down. I would try to stop at the end of the chapter and the next chapter would just call me on farther. I discover Ms. Johansen browsing on the Net. She stay in my home state of Georgia, so I had to see what was up with her and I am so glad that I took time to read Ugly Duckling. From then on I was hook, just waiting to see what was next on her agenda to write about. She write with a personal touch to it, you can feel what her story is really saying. Good book, good strong story line, good main characters(Eve) that you come to love, a must read book.
Rating: Summary: More than fluff Review: I am not a fan of the romantic novels...at least I can't say that out loud. The trick to getting me to read a romantic/mushy novel is to disguise it in a mystery or thriller. This is what I have found Iris Johansen to do best. I enjoy her books because her female leads are typically brave, strong women, in other words, women I can identify with (which is why I'm not a big fan of the romance novels). Iris has a way of finding the weaknesses in her characters which are prevalent in most women and men, and exposing them. It makes her novels enjoyable, suspenseful, and unpredictable, because even though you may identify with the character, they don't always do what you would do. And they provide a thrilling story to boot. This book was the follow up to Face of Deception, which was also a good read. By the time Iris got around to The Search (the follow up to this book) the characters were so well developed it felt like you were visiting with old friends. I have read The Search at least five times now, and still find new things to take away from it. My only complaint for any of Iris' novels are that they are too short. I can finish them in four hours :)
Rating: Summary: A Great Whodunnit! Review: This was an outstanding book, but don't forget to read The Face of Deception first! Even to the last pages, I had no idea who the villain was. Usually, I figure out the plot of suspense books before the end, and then it isn't much fun, but this was pretty good! I read The Face of Deception and The Killing Game both within two weeks.
Rating: Summary: MARVELLOUS Review: this boOK wuz jus great! i mean..the story line was great, the characters were plausible, the thriller was just amazing! it was good in every way, and i thought that it was a tremedous read. It was right that the book kept me turning and flipping the pages...and couldn't let go of it! Attention grabbing and the best book i have read so far!
Rating: Summary: It will kill your sleep Review: Iris Johansen brought a masterpiece on the market with the killing game. Once you get started you will keep on turning the pages. The suspense is amazing. This will keep you up at night just to see how the next part will end. It's one of those books you can't put away, even if you want to.
