Rating: Summary: Miners dream come true Review: It's a book about how a man going to South Africa to look for gold during the gold rush times got conned, near death and got rich. Good introduction and a heck of a good ending!
Rating: Summary: OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!! Review: I read this book about 5 years ago in college. I still remember how I felt for Kate. The best heroine in any Sheldon book. I have been recommending this book for years and everyone who has read it has loved it..
Rating: Summary: One of Sheldon's best Review: I was hooked on Sidney Sheldon after reading The Other Side of Midnight, but nothing compared ....until, Master of the Game. A perfect book to bring on a beach vacation!
Rating: Summary: It was fascinating and horrible, something picking a scab. Review: It was practically impossible to put down and I finished it in a day, simply to find out what happened. But... it left me with the mental equivalent of a dreadful taste in my mouth and the wish I could wash the book away. All protagonists in the book were psychotic by most standards. There was no real hero or heroine. I cannot recommend a book I wish I had never read.
Rating: Summary: THIS IS THE BEST BOOK OF SHELDON..... Review: I just want to say that this book captured my imagination like no other! It came alive right before my very eyes, I could not put the book down for even a second! I picked reading this book over sleeping and eating! I'm so serious, this book will grab you and keep you wanting for more! I've read and bought every book he's ever written and he never fails to satisfy me! I love you Sidney Sheldon..I read it in Spanish edition..
Rating: Summary: I'VE DIED AND GONE TO HEAVEN!!! Review: I have read every Sidney Sheldon novel and this book has put the rest to shame. I loved Jamie and felt his pain and pleasures. I loved how the book followed Kate through her life and made you feel as though you were part of their "secret lives". Thank you Sidney Sheldon, I shall never read another book that makes me feel the way I do when I read Master of the Game.
Rating: Summary: Explicit, Superb, Sheldon outdones himself Review: I owe sheldon a lot. His first book The Dommsday Conspiracy brought me to this amazing world of fiction. Master of the Game is a superb book, Isay a all time favourite and would like to comment that the story is woven so naturally with elements that seem so real to life and identical to the nature of that of any of us. His professionalism id reflected in this books. Man u have to love him as i have .
Rating: Summary: Lucious Review: This book literally took me through time and sent me on an unbelievable trip to South Africa that I will never forget. I feel I've really been there. I couldn't wait to get home from work to keep reading it. I even gave up a couple of my favorite TV shows and was late for work one day because I had to read the ending. NOW! As the critics like to say, if you're going to read only one Sidney Sheldon book in your lifetime (although you'd be a fool if you did)read this one.
Rating: Summary: Exciting enough to read and re-read. Review: The first time I read Master of the Game was 1990. Someone had left it on an airplane. I read it about once per year. I have given it as gifts to friends. Having been to South Africa and met the people where Jamie starts his quest to build his empire, is one of the things that makes the story so realistic to me. Plan a weekend to unplug the phone, door bell and TV. Kick back and enjoy the historical richness, wealth, twist nad turns of Sidney Shelton's Master of the Game.
Rating: Summary: *****ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Review: I read the hard cover book several years ago when it very first came out. My Grandfather had gotten it for a birthday present. I am now 30 years old and am finally going to buy it for myself. When asked what my favorite book to read is, I always answer "Master of The Game, by Sidney Sheldon". This book had me from beginning to end. And when the movie made for television was on, I had the book in my hands and my eyes on the television. I would highly recommend this book to anyone. I have yet to read a book better than this. :-)
