Summary: Amazing
Review: I recently read Mr. Christie's tirade of Sylvia Browne and her work. I have read this book as well as several others that Sylvia Browne has written. I recommend them to anyone. I find her refreshing, and quite honestly very brave to open her life to us with all it's human frailities. She has been an inspiration. She has been through it all...and survived. As for Mr. Christie..I am sorry that you feel the need to attack Ms. Browne. As for her alleged error in making out the sexual identity of a person at the microphone...sorry...but I also have been at these events. The space between Sylvia and the audience combined with lighting...you figure it out. If you approach this subject with a closed mind...you will come away with your attitude. If you want the truth...and have the courage to have an idea...then you will continue to seek the truth. As for Sylvia's prediction regarding China..Wake up...they are the proud owners of a Long Beach military establishment...so she wasn't incorrect. This book is compelling, comforting and above all a reading journey worth taking to those who have endured and are surviving this adventure called life.

Summary: I Like Sylvia!
Review: This book really introduces you to Sylvia (with no holes barred), the illustrious guest on Montel. She is frank, funny and illuminating. Her early life is shown here and I applaud her that she was able to overcome some of its ghastly parts. She proves that she is a formidable friend on "this side" for anyone looking for an explanation of the hereafter. I liked the fact that she did not hide anything from her past that was unattractive but dealt with it honestly. Its great to have Sylvia on your side when you need answers quick.

Summary: Adventures of a Psychic
Review: I really liked Adventures of a Psychic. A lot of the things Sylvia Browne explained in here book are things that I have heard happen myself. I enjoy the way she is with people in her audience and with the people of her family. She is a very interesting person and I would like to know more about her. I have watched her on TV and I even know someone that went on the Montel Williams show and Sylvia Browne helped her just like she helped the people in her book. I really like her and enjoyed her book very much.

Summary: Inspiring reading
Review: I saw Sylvia's book "Adventures of a Psychic" in the Australian bookstores for the first time just recently and bought a copy. I really enjoyed the light hearted way it was written. Even though it made you think seriously it wasn't heavy going like some books on the subject. I will be purchasing some more of her books if they have them here, if not I will try through this site. Thanks Sylvia, you are an inspiration

Summary: Just another average spirit guide book.
Review: If you've read other such books, you'll get no new informationhere. Sylvia's psychic ability is presented here as a "gift"from God, and I have no doubt that she's very intuitive. My doubts arise when she begins quoting her spirit guide, Francine. Francine's view of the afterlife is just a bit too idlyllic. In other words, it sounds as if she's telling us all exactly what we want to hear, not what we should hear. Sylvia's stories of her life are the most interesting parts of the book. But, what troubled me was her claim that it was somehow more difficult and traumatic than any other person. In fact, her life seemed fairly average on the trauma scale. All in all, I did enjoy the book and read it in 48 hours. Just make sure you take your grain of salt, there is alot of self back-patting in here. She has lots of hits, it seems. But no misses.

Summary: Adventures of a Psychic: The Fascinating Inspiring True-Life
Review: Shame on you William F.Christie! Sylvia Browne is certainly someone this world needs more of. Don't doubt the spiritual works of Sylvia Browne. Her books are helping numerous people. It is nice to know that death is not dying but rather a graduation into the hereafter, God is a loving God, hate & evil are manmade not God made, reasons for our existences here on earth, reincarnations, & the only hell there is, is the 1 we create for ourselves. Mr.Christie, even in Jesus there were those who disbelieved & crucified. How sad is that?

Summary: Classic summary of the psychic genre - but don't believe!
Review: I bought this book having absolutely NO faith in the validity of the author's psychic powers. Why did I buy it? Because it seemed a classic compilation of the state-of-the-art of the TV pop culture "spin" being given to metaphysical information. Imagine using Montel Williams (! ) as a so-called character witness! Amazing, but classic for someone who judges validation via talk TV. Listen people, Sylvia used to live in the San Jose area for years. I attended 4 of her lectures in the early 80's at local colleges. At each one, she gave the SAME answers to the SAME questions in the audience (coincidence or a plant?). What was truly hilarious was 1 occasion when a microphone was given to a person in the audience and that person asked a question. Sylvia responded "Young man, I sense that you..." only to be interrupted quickly by her crew in the audience, who quickly said "Sylvia, this is a young woman!" (She had very short hair). Let's see now...Sylvia is a great psychic but cannot tell the basic SEX of someone in the audience? For those of you who believe psychic abilities exist, I join you! I do. In fact, I have a very close friend who does not charge $600 for a half hour session (as Sylvia does). He went with me to a couple of her lectures. He saw an aura that he has always associated with a great greed for money and fame. He also did NOT ever see another spiritual entity (good old Francine girl!) on stage with Sylvia, as she claimed. Oh, by the way, during the last lecture, she claimed (this in 1982) that China would occupy California by 1999 but we would not care, having all transcended by then (being such cool people in California). This book is a testament to the gullibility and desire of people to find some pop figure to believe in, and how sadly this is constantly abused by those in the glitter world. Sylvia left San Jose a few years ago, now lives in Laa Laa Land = Los Angeles. Are we surprised? Buy the book for good fun, but I feel very sorry for the many people here who express almost religious emotional faith in her. I hope they never have to learn otherwise...as I have.

Summary: Awesome!
Review: This book changed my whole outlook on life. I was so impresssed with it that I lent it to my mother, who in turn, lent it to several other people. So far, all that have touched that book have become believers. I have seen Sylvia on several television shows (including several local shows) and she is truly amazing. As a young child, I had such a hard time with a belief in a vengeful and wrathful God, who would take my 10-year-old cousin from this Earth by giving her an inoperable a brain tumor, which left half of her face paralyzed. She was very young and suffered for the last three years of her short life. NOW, I know that it wasn't that conventional God that took her, but that her blueprint dictated that she would only be here a short time to learn her lesson that she had decided on from the Other Side. Everything in this book makes total and complete sense, which is something I cannot say for today's religions. Good work Sylvia!

Summary: Very Interesting
Review: I don't agree with everything in her book, but I did come away with something I don't think I'll ever forget. "Don't let anyone diminish your life!"

This book may at times seem a bit simplistic, but there are some real gems in here, if you just pay attention to the message she is trying to convey.
