Rating: Summary: The Doll People was Better... Review: I enjoyed this book very much, but I would only recommend it to those who have read the first book, The Doll People. The plot follows two dollhouse dolls on an adventure that takes them farther than they've ever been before, outside of their owner's house. They journey to school, and accidently get taken to someone else's house! There they meet Princess Mimi (a.k.a Mean Mimi) a doll who is a menace to all dollkind. After thinking that they've defeated her, the two dolls find a way back home, only to dicover that Mimi has come with them! The dolls and their families work together to save dollkind from the meanest doll in the world. I liked the first book more, because the end of this is a little bit sad. I wouldn't read the book to a younger child because of this. All in all, it was pretty good for a sequel.
Rating: Summary: AWARD WINNING READING Review: Just the name Lynn Redgrave brings to mind the resonant sound of her inimitable voice. It is used to full advantage in this thoroughly satisfying reading, especially in the voice of Mean Mimi who sees herself as the Queen of All Dolls. As they go, aspirations are fine, but Mean Mimi does carry them to extremes. In this enchanting sequel to The Doll People, those rascals Annabelle Doll and Tiffany Funcraft are up to mischief once more. As luck would have it the pair find themselves in Kate's backpack on their way to school. This is an adventure! Once out of the backpack they discover they are in a very strange world. Putting their initial trepidation aside they decide to explore this new territory. Not a good idea because when they try to go home they find wind up in the wrong house! The up side of this is that they make many new doll friends. The down side is that they also run into the formidable Mean Mimi. Now, just how are this adventurous duo ever going to find their way home and the safety of their doll house? Listen and see.

Rating: Summary: My daughter loved it Review: My daughter, who is 8 year old and an avid reader, says that the dolls books are by far the best books she has ever read (and she has been reading since she was 4)and she loves them, and she is hoping that there will be more written.
Rating: Summary: The coolest book in the world Review: The Meanest Doll in the World is a sequel to Ann Martin and Laura Godwin's book, The Doll People. Annabelle Doll's life had been relatively quiet for one hundred years until the Funcrafts moved in. Tiffany Funcraft is an adventerous plastic doll that quickly becomes Annabelle's best friend. In, The Meanest Doll in the World, Annabelle and Tiffany continue their adventures. They find themselves going to school with Kate. The lure of excitement is too much for Tiffany and Annabelle to resist. The adventure truly begins after they have an "Exporation" through the school. Annabelle and Tiffany meet with some new dolls and the fun and suspense continues. If you enjoyed the first book, The Doll People, then this is a book you should probably read. The conflict between the two best friends will sound familiar to anyone that has ever been between the ages of 5 to 12. This book would be wonderful to share with a child that is having a disagreement with a friend. Brian Selznik once again draws the pictures in this book, just as wonderfully as the drawings in the first book. This is a wonderful sequel to the first adventure of Annabelle and Tiffany.
Rating: Summary: Just As Good As The Doll People Review: Then fact that the young reader can lose herself in the dialogue, forgetting that these are *dolls* talking, moving, living, etc., is only one mark of the excellence herein. The adventure is exciting, the life-lessons learned by Annabelle are heartwarming, and the denouement always satisfying. Get this book for the nine-to-twelve-year-old in your life.
Rating: Summary: The Meanest Doll in the World Review: This is a colorful book! It is great for parents to read to their kids. And for kids to read themselves. I am halfway through the book and I think it is just as good as 'The Doll People'. Ann M. Martin has also written excellent books for 10-14 years olds, such as A Corner of the Universe and Belle Teal! Read them as soon as possible!

Rating: Summary: A Must Read Book For Every Kid of Any Age Review: This was the delightful sequel to The Doll People. Both of these books are so incredibly imaginative that the characters almost spring to life as you read the book.
Annabelle Doll and Tiffany Funcraft are two best friends who do everything together. Annabelle is the timid one of the two friends, where as Tiffany is the adventurous one. These two dolls work together to solve any problem that comes their way.
When Annabelle and Tiffany find themselves trapped in Kate's backpack, after staying out too long on an expedition to the attic, they find a whole new world open up before them. It is their first trip to the OUTSIDE since arriving at Kate and Nora's house. In the incredible expedition that occurs due to the dolls being in Kate's backpack, the dolls make new friends as well as meet Princess Mimi, otherwise known as Mean Mimi. Mean Mimi is a threat to all of dollkind. It is left to Annabelle and Tiffany to figure out how to stop her.
This book is the perfect book to read for you or aloud to anyone. The illustrations really make the book come alive. Children will enjoy seeing the pictures as they read or listen to the book.
Rating: Summary: Highly reccomended Review: We really enjoyed this book in my household! I thought it was a terrific children's book that even I, the adult, thoroughly enjoyed. I had tried to read it to the kids one chapter a night, but was always begged to continue after a chapter had ended. Too often I caved in and read another, because I wanted to know how what happened next too. I thought the illustrations were excellent, and I know the kids sure loved looking at the pictures! If you haven't read the first book, don't worry. We certainly didn't, and had no trouble understanding or enjoying this wonderful book!
