Summary: this book is good and nice but not excelent.
Review: Sounder is a book about a dog that live in a family and one day he gets lost and the boy start searching for him. they live a grate adventure. My opinion of the book is that Sounder a good book when you understand it but at the first part is a little confuser. This story is well writen, it have some parts of drama, and most part of the story is clearly talked. This story is belivable and it can be real. I will recomendate it to people of 10 or 15 years.

Review: I think this book is bad, and I don't like it. I think it is not well written. Theres no drama, not intresting things, and the book doesn`t gives you a reason to read it. I mean you don`t enjoy reading it. The ideas are not clearly talked about, thats why the book is very confusing. Actually it is real (because the book says that) but is not belivable because I don`t think that the boy could go arround the state, because he has no money, nor food, and he could not return to his home. I would not recomend this book to people that like life. Only to people that realy like to read.

Review: I thought that the book sounder was a very sad story, but very true. My teacher read it as a class book, and we had to do many projects on it. We learnt lots of things to do with equality and human rights. I wished it could end happier though.

Review: I think this book is a very emotional book. It is a very sad story, especially the part where the sheriff took the boy's father away. I personally really liked this book a lot, but I would not recommend it to those who are sensitive, because it is quite disturbing. There is a lot of racism in the book. For example, when the sheriff came into the boy's house, this is what he said: "There are two things I can smell a mile away. One's a ham cookin' and the other's a thievin' nigger."

Summary: It's the saddest yet the happiest book I ever read
Review: I liked the book Sounder , because it told the truth about what black peoples lives were like after the Civil War. A father steals a pig so his family can have something good to eat. He is caught and sent to jail . The father's faithful dog Sounder tries to rescue him and get's shot, yet the dog's corpes is no where to be found. When you finish the book,I think you should read the author's note at the beginning . Maybe you'll be able to tell if your tear's are of happiness or sorrow.
