Rating: Summary: A Book with the Striking Spirit of Childhood Review: When I read the book, I realized that the book does not have a plot. It's better than a plot - each chapter has it's own climax wich traps you into reading the next chapter. Because even thought this book was written about things that happened in Caddie's life way back, it still has so much resemblense to girls today. Every girl should read this book and discover her divine purpose just as it was demonstrated by Caddie. Trust me, you'll understand when you finish the book.
Rating: Summary: Trashy; a really sorry book about a tomboy Review: One of the worst books I ever read in my whole entire life. Don't waste your money on this awful book. If you're thinking about buying it, then just stop and think about the value of a dollar.
Rating: Summary: not very appealing. Review: This book did not appeal to me at all, there was lots of dialogue about random things of the subject, and lots of normal, normal daily things going on. Reading about someone doing her chores really isn't at the top of my list. Sure, there were some parts about a possible indian attack in there, but that's about all.
Rating: Summary: A good choice for kids who like to read about "pioneer" days Review: I loved this book as a child! I lost count of how many times I had read it. Recently, I re-read the book and still enjoyed it. As a child, I delighted in the scrapes that Caddie, Tom and Warren found themselves in. As a mother, I cringed over the chances the kids took crossing the river. As the mother of four daughters, I appreciate literature that does not stereotype girls into one specific role - there will always be a little bit of the "Tom-boy" in me and I hope all of my daughters.
Rating: Summary: Good book Review: This book was about a pioneer girl in Wisconsin in the mid 1800s. Her mother wants her to act like a young lady but Caddie is a tomboy. She has many adventures with her brothers much to her mother;s disprovel. This was a good book.
Rating: Summary: I LOVED this book! Review: Caddie Woodlawn was a lovable character, and she was really fun too. It was enjoyable to follow her adventures and learn about her interesting family. I would recomend this book to everyone.
Rating: Summary: A girl who is brave and I think should be a girl wannabe. Review: Caddie Woodlawn is about a 12 year old pioneer girl who is braves and a tomboy. Caddie, one of many sibblings, is the adventure girl of the family with her two other brothers. She is a 2 year old model of a 12 year opld pioneer and is shown to used to be a real person.

Cindy liked when Annabelle fell off the horse. Keaton liked when the boys where putting out the fire, because it sounded really funny to watch. Raelynn liked when they went to the school speaking because it was funny when Warren kept messing up and it was exciting when they went home. Rating: Summary: This book captures a tomgirl's life in Wisconsin in 1800s. Review: My 8-year-old and 5-year-old loved this book. The author captures Caddie's frustrations with her mother wanting her to be a "proper lady." It's unbelievable that Caddie was lucky enough to have a father that let her run wild as a boy, play with Indians and enjoy the freedom of being a young American. When Caddie's mother beat her with a horse whip for tricking Annabelle, her proper lady cousin, we can understand her shame and frustration at being a girl. But her father's wise words to his daughter that night in her room, after a day of punishment, remind us of the great love between a father and daughter. This is a book that the whole family can enjoy. I loved it. Terri La Fleur tlafleur@erols.com
Rating: Summary: In my top ten Review: I liked this book because I can really relate to Caddie's life. It gave me a dose of what it was like back then. Caddie always stood up for herself and didn't listen to her mother. The descriptions of the characters were so real that I felt I was there.
