Summary: Wow! What a great story!
Review: "She Said Yes" was the best book I read. I felt that I could really relate to the story. I cried a couple of times. I was always thinking about what they were going through. I just couldn't put the book down. I would read it every chance I got, it was so good. I always felt that Cassie went through a lot and died so soon, so suddenly. She deserved to live. She believed in God, and so do I. If I was in the same position, I would defiently say yes!! I think that Cassie made a remarkable recover from being on the "Dark side" to going to the good side. I think that her family took it very well considering she was only 17.

Summary: The Question That Killed
Review: This story of Cassie Bernall will shock you. It's hard to believe that someone would kill a person because they believe in God, that Cassie changed her ways just a few years before she got shot, and she got shot by the same kind of people she used to be. Cassie Bernall's mother tell the shocking true story of her daughters last years of her life before she got shot at Colombine High School. It was hard for me to belive at first that a Cassie was almost just like the killers in the Colombine shotings but she changed her ways.

Summary: The review of: She Said Yes
Review: The book I read was She Said Yes. It was one of the best books that I ever read. It was very detailed about what happened at the Colombine shooting and how much grief cassies' parents went through dealing with the pain of her death. It also includeds what happened after cassies' death and funeral. In the book some of cassies old and new friends tell about what cassie went through and their relationship with cassie. I didn't even know half the things about the shooting that I know now. The author of this book it cassies mother, Misty Bernall. It is heartwarming and reasuring. I would recomend parents and their children read this book together and they can both learn a lesson or two. Once you think you had it bad, wait till you read this story. I don't think that this book could have added anything because it was written by cassies mother so that makes it better than her being reviewed and then another author writing it. I can't even imagine how much pain her family went through and how cassie felt when she was held a gunshot and asked if she believed in god. I rate this book with 5 stars cause it definatly desearves it. That's my review

Summary: This is Awesome
Review: This book is the 2nd best thing that ever happened to me. Given the fact that my first best is my son. Tears came down my face while reading this. Cause I too was just like Cassie in the pathway to finding myself. But having read about her in this book gave me a whole new perspective of life and of my religion. I am a Catholic and I used to question the teachings that they preached. BUT Cassie made me see differently. And changed my whole life too. I really think this book would help anyone going through some rough times. It did me. THANK YOU CASSIE. YES I BELIEVE IN GOD NOW.

Summary: YOU'LL LOVE THIS BOOK
Review: This book made me realize how important life is. After reading this book I wake up everyday and realize you can be here today and gone tomorrow. Cassie and her mother Misty didn't have a close relationship until the last year of her life. "She Saids Yes" made me think more about having a closer relationship with my own mom. Cassie was a teenage girl like myself, and I could understand many of her feelings. This book was not boring and a true story. I recommend this book to all ages.

Summary: The power of love and faith is eternal
Review: There has been much debate and controversy surrounding Cassie Bernall's fateful confrontation with her killers. But no matter what the truth in this instance may be, Cassie indeed said "Yes."

Just a few short years before her tragic death, Cassie Bernall was in the grip of the demons that enveloped Harris and Klebold, hurtling them toward their unspeakable act of cowardice. Through the timely intervention of her family, law enforcement, newfound friends, and most importantly GOD, a life full of bleakness transformed into an existence full of hope.

Therefore, whether or not Cassie said yes in the last seconds of her life is, in my mind, totally irrelevant. For she had already said "Yes" to life, "Yes" to love, and "Yes" to the Lord when he knocked on the door of her heart, requesting entrance. To her, "God" and "Jesus" were not simply profanities- rather, they were a loving presence in her life. Accepting the love of God is in itself a remarkably courageous act.

Through this short but enlightening conduit, the Bernall family has transformed Cassie from an unfortunate victim of random violence into a girl of flesh and blood, not the martyr which the media has falsely characterised her as, but a typical teenager on the verge of adulthood who struggled with the same problems that you and I do.

This is not a book full of bitterness and anger. The Bernalls don't just speak their faith; they live it. Their love for the daughter who graced their lives for such a short time oozes from every page, and it is a wonderful thing to "see." (Well okay, if you want to be exact, to read). They have not surrendered to the evil of this single, senseless, horrifying event. Their hearts are shattered, and their lives will never be the same, but they are among the minority who have chosen to travel along the path of understanding. This is highlighted in the expression of empathy towards the killers parents. How many of us, even with strong faith, put into their situation, would or could feel that way?

Her early, horrible, senseless death has bestowed immortality upon Cassie. You can't read this book and come away unaffected or unmoved. It is a compelling drama, worth telling, worth keeping, and worth cherishing.

And to those who have the AUDACITY to state that this mother is cashing in on her daughter's murder, shame on you. Misty Bernall never asked for this tragedy. Given the choice, don't you think she would rather have her daughter back? NO amount of money or publicity can EVER replace a precious human life.

Summary: Learning of a Life
Review: When I first saw on CNN News what was happening, I got really upset because I didn't understand how anyone could do such a thing. And I still don't. Since the tragedy on April 20, 1999, I have been trying to learn as much about the victims as I can. I bought the book, "She Said Yes" about a year ago, and have read it multiple times. Cassie was a normal teen that fell into the wrong crowd that eventually got free and knew what she wanted to do with her life. Cassie and I have many of the same interests. I am a photography major at college, have had some of my poetry published, I love nature and have also been to Europe. I went to Europe around the one year anniversary of Columbine. When I was at St. Martin's Cathedral, I lit a candle for the victims at Columbine High School, and even thought I do not believe in GOD, I said a prayer in hopes that they were in a better place, and prayed for the survival of the families and loved ones that lost their children and friends. This book is a very helpful insite into a young girls life. It helps me cope with the internal feelings I have in my heart everyday. I wish this tragedy never happened, but if it hadn't, I would have never had the chance to get to know Cassie Bernall. I am proud to say that I at least have learned of her legacy and hope to learn more about her and the other victims. Sometime in the future, I hope to go to Littleton, Colorado, and visit the site were the 13 crosses are laid out. Maybe put some peace in my heart and mind. Excellent Legacy.

Summary: a stolen life
Review: This book is very different and unique experience to indulge into. The tales of a young girls' struggle to fight for her freedom, peace, and happiness ironically loses it after an amazing turning point. The overall theme being a parents love for a child that was destined for an untimely road. This book gave detailed accounts of this seventeen-year-old girls life and how it was so brutally taken away for her, months before graduation. Overall, the book makes the reader get physically in touch with his/her feelings and have a greater appreciation for the people involved in ones life and how little time you have to enjoy it.
I was interested in the book mainly because of the title, catchy. And to seemingly curious minds it some how makes you want to find out what she said "yes" to. This book is an excellent book to read if there are questions in ones mind on "why should I live?" mainly seeking to find the troubled suicidal teens. This book is captivating because it makes you feel a world of emotions such as: sorrow, pain, joy and lastly...love. Love stands out as the main theme in this book because through love uncontrollable minds are controlled, the untamed spirit, tamed and finally the ferocious teen within is the gentle, hearty, wholesome person you raised to be your own.
Reading this book not only made me realize all the things I should be thankful for, but it allowed me to see myself for who I really am and the possible traits I can change to be a better person for my family and friends. Reading this book also gave me a greater appreciation for life and how I should be grateful for gaining another day.
