Rating: Summary: This Book Will Make You Think About Your Life Review: I am only into Chapter 6 of this book, but I have learned a lot of stuff by reading it. I found out about the bad things in life such as witchcraft, the occult, and suicide. As a committed Christian who has just given their life to the Lord not too long ago, I recommend this book as well as Rachel's Tears.

Rating: Summary: Voici les temps des assasins! Review: swinging on a violet chandelier, the pretty girl, the minstrel, the wastrel, floating, seething on light itself, passionate light, passionate passion, passionate stillness, passion punch against the sodium vapor lamps of Columbine, enigmatic, automatic, automata repeating secula seculorum, throughout time and space, beyond text, beyond tears, beyond fast food.lo! see Cassie Bernall, smitten, shot, exterminated, deanimated, astrally projected, forever and ever, without end, lifeless, mass produced, and martyred, sainted mercifully by Harris and Klebold, in the land of McDonald's, in the land of James Dobson, in the land of Art Bell, in the land of K-Mart, in the land of the SUV, in the land of low-density suburban sprawl, in the land of the grieving hysterical soccer mom. can not you hear the riotous laughter of the ghosts of the children of the buffalo ?
Rating: Summary: A WRINKLE IN TRUTH Review: As many writers have pointed out, the "trial by faith" aspect of this story is complete fiction. More distressing, the authors knew this and chose to perpetrate the lie anyway. However, Misty Bernall is one of the most compelling monsters in contemporary fiction. The idea of a child entrusted to her care is more chilling than any high school shooting. Madeline L'Engle did so much fine work. It is truly a shame that she would fall in with such bad company.
Rating: Summary: Impactful book, which causes powerful reactions Review: I purchased this book at an airport, looking for a way to spend my time between Boston and Denver after the laptop battery fails. I live in Denver, and like most people here experienced the horrible event of Columbine High School personally. The events of that day will be a defining moment for many of our young people. In this book, a mother writes honestly about her daughter, Cassie Bernall, who was a teen-ager killed at Columbine High School. It seems there is some controversy over whether or not Cassie was actually killed because she stated her belief in God, but it is indisputable that she had turned her life and heart to following Jesus Christ, after some years of dabbling in witchcraft. The book tells of a mother's concern, and the lengths she went to provide a stable environment for her daughter. Like most teen-agers (how did any of us make it through those years without scars?), Cassie was searching for a sense of belonging, and ended up with a crowd of equally dis-enfranchised youths searching for meaning in dead end self destructive lifestyles. Her parents went to considerable lengths to try to help her daughter through this period without causing too much damage to herself or family. I was impressed with the honesty of this book, in terms of her parents. The mother speaks of how hard it was to know what to do, and the risks all parents must take in further alienating their children by setting strong boundaries. The book is well written, and flows smoothly. With a little embarrassment I let tears run down my cheeks on the airplane while reading. The story is very powerful. Ignore the reviews posted here by bitter cynical people looking for conspiracy, and read this book. The book is honest, emotionally powerful, and touching.

Rating: Summary: A sad but true story... Review: Cassi, a senior at Columbine High, is shot and killed, but first asked, if she believed in Jesus Christ. This book should be recommended to people who are in middle, and high school. In this book, her mother tells about her life from the time she was born, to the day she was killed, even a few days after. It is very touching, and moving, everyone should read it, weather you are a believer or non-believer.
