Rating: Summary: Go, James, Go!!!! Review: To mr_tack_driverI just had to respond to your question "did you see that happening when Clinton was president?" Just what planet were you living on during those 8 years? So the republicans are just trying to do what is right and not give anyone hell? Does the name Ken Starr ring any bells in that empty head of yours?

Rating: Summary: Somebody give him a tissue...freakin' cry baby Review: We're Right, They're Wrong is a book written By James Carville. Have you ever seen or heard James Carville on TV or radio? He is possibly the most offensive childish man you will ever see. He throws bona fide temper tantrums over the silliest notions. He stands with both feet on the weakest arguements and screams his FOOL head off over ridiculous nothings. I understand he has to make a living and apparently being an obnoxious horse's rear end pays dividends in some circles, but otherwise there is no explaining the amount of angry bile this man spits out whenever he's handed a microphone. I have sympathy for all the people in his life who have to endure this repugnant creature. The good news is: we don't have to. Don't read his book, don't listen to him on TV or radio. Turn this sad little man off before he makes you as unhappy as he is.
Rating: Summary: Telling the truth...and the ammo to prove it! Review: What happens when you mix a Rajin' Cajun with Politics... You get the truth. Touche' Mr. Carville. Your book has already proven to be true life-saver for me, a 24K Cajun, stuck right smack dab in the middle of Dole and Bushwack, I mean Bush Country in a suburb of South of KC. I enjoyed the book, but I love the rapid response and extended response part especially! It puts the mojo on the "good ole' boy network!" This handbook will help to make your time spent at parties or at any event of one of your wonderful, yet, Republican friends and company not only more interesting, but you may also find that people will pay attention to you, whether they agree or not and it will either reply with anger or it might just scare the heck out the them. What I like is the fact that he gives you the facts. Then, if you don't believe it, you can follow the trails and he will lead you right to it, the original quotes or what ever the issue, right their in your face, through his heavily researched and well-armed footnotes. I researched the footnotes that truly caught my interest, and was astounded to see where some of this "reliable information" comes from in the GOP. Where do the Republicans find some of these people? This book is not only worth reading, it is worth reading again; or as a gift to a family member or friend who always has a lot to say about politics, and are really not aware of the real ongoings in politics behind the scenes, and for really great Cajun receipts. Don't take his word for it, check his sources; they speak for themselves!
Rating: Summary: liberals Review: When will these liberals ever learn? Instead of actually getting out there and doing something, they just sit back and take shots at Republicans all day. While the Republicans are just trying to do what they feel is right, the Democrats give them as much hell as possible. Did you see that happening when Clinton was the president? Of course not.

Rating: Summary: What ever became of "the Republican Revolution"? Review: While much of the material in this book is dated, the points Carville makes are still very relevant today. Based on the way the author presents the facts, I had to ask myself how in the world could anybody vote Republican. The book details Carville's arguments for Bill Clinton's '96 relection. The author discusses the accomplishments of Clinton during his first four years in office. To supplement, he discusses how the Republicans attempted to foul up Clinton's plans. Among the topics discussed are the economy, health care, various government programs, and the failed Republican Revolution. For readers who are skeptical of anything the government does, Carville also lists many successful government programs and their accomplishments. This list functions as a great resource. While Clinton was not a saint during his tenure in office, Carville does an excellent job of discussing what a quality President America had in Bill Clinton. This book is still worth reading 6 years later.
