Summary: Absolutely Awesome!
Review: This is definitely the best book in the Prey series! Simply fantastic -- a well crafted, well executed thriller. I wish all the Prey books were as good as this one -- this really is the best of them all.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good thriller, moves along at a fast pace, terribly biased
Review: I am a woman who recently read this thriller and while I enjoyed it, I was amazed that such a distinguished writer would so radically typecast his criminal characters... they were all hunters, or went to gun shows, or were friendly with gun dealers and I was terribly offended by this characterization. Shame on your Mr. Sandford. Criminals are as diverse as stars in the galaxy and come from all backgrounds.

Summary: Keep A Leash on Those Convicts
Review: Two bank robbers are taken out in a gunfight by the Minneapolis Police Department. A relative of theirs who is allowed to attend the funeral while on leave from prison escapes. His intention is pure revenge against the police officers responsible for the killings. All of the cops involved and their families seem to be targets. Deputy Chief of the Minneapolis Police Department, Lucas Davenport, leads the investigation. The convict seeking revenge has really done his homework. He knows who was involved in the bank killings and who their family members are. This is no easy case for the Police. An exciting action packed story set in the Twin Cities that really kept me reading to the end. Sandford is a truly talented writer.

Summary: Sudden Prey
Review: Not the strongest entry in the series but a very good read!

Summary: Very twisted
Review: This was my fourth Sandford novel and I have tried to give him a chance. In the first two, I found Lucas to be appalingly sexist and disliked him immensely. After reading this one and "Winter Prey," I have decided I will spend no more time reading Sandford. Stephen King is a pussycat compared to this guy. I just find these novels to be increasingly twisted and disturbed. I suppose there are people out there like these folks but in this case I would have to say ignorance is bliss on my part. It disturbs me that someone would think as Lucas does and that any women would put up with him. Time better spent elsewhere....

Summary: finally, revenge!
Review: FInally a boook that let the bad guys get some revenge! Although I was rooting for lucas and the good guys I thought the story line was excellent. Most books the bad guys alwaya get caught before they have a chance to kill anyone and in this one sandford let LaChaise and his friends kill a couple of people before they got caught. I really enjoyed this book .

Summary: Reads like a Hollywood blockbuster, call up Harrison Ford
Review: Drunk, suicidal, heavily armed rednecks terrorize cops and their families. The directors of Heat would have a great time with this one. Lots of action, clever pace of events. A little low on character development and emotion, more attention is given to action. Probably read it in a day or two.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Amazingly bad!
Review: As a reader of several of the 'Prey' books, I found this one to be a waste of time. Imagine reading the 'Keystone Cops' capers...At the end I really didn't care who died. Devoid of character development and entertainment. Save your time and money.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: As great as ever!
Review: Some people do not believe this can happen. It does! And the police are not that efficient as some people may think they are. Suicidal white supremacists are a threat to humanity if people like it or not. They might be misguided or blind, but so were the followers of Hitler. Great book! Beware, America!!!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Too many implausible situations
Review: I like action books that contain at least plausible scenarios. This book doesn't. You would have to believe in a whole series of highly unlikely events to enjoy this book. From incompetent cops to the luckiest criminals of all time. The story line just didn't work.
