Summary: This is truly amazing!
Review: If I could give this book negative stars, I would; I am absolutely flabergasted at these reviews. I had to read this book for our Book Club and found it to be the worst book I ever read and a total waste of my time! I am an avid reader and am angry when I read a book that is such garbage as this one was. Not only was it totally predictable, but Sparks' style is elementary. I read one other book by him for the same Book Club, and found it to be total dribble- what is the American public coming to?

Better spending your time reading The Corrections- now that's a good use of your time.

Review: this book is the best book i have read in a long time, aside from A Walk to Remember. i never read, even for school, but this book i read in 2 days even with it having like 368 pages. it was hard to put it down it's almost like a mystery but not quite. I cried at the end, it's such a cute story. Nicholas Sparks is an excelant writer!

Summary: TRULY A GOOD READ!
Review: I've never written a book review of some sorts, but after reading this heart moving novel by Nicholas Sparks, certainly, I would like to share my insights to other Sparks fans and those books lovers wanting for a long time to read a book that would truly move their hearts.

The story is a typical Sparks, somebody dies and thus conveys something tragic. But what sets this book above the rest is the ability of the author, to put HOPE in the minds of readers. As in the characters played by Miles Ryan, the deputy sheriff who lost his wife in an accident, their son Jonah, a second grader who because of the lost of his mother couldn't cope with school, and the teacher Sarah who after being left by her husband because of infertility was able to fall in love again. With the sequencing of events, Sparks showed his excellent twist in the plot and thus putting the readers in total surprise towards the end. The romance part was very enticing and also heart rendering, can't help but envy Sarah as she was wooed by Miles.

Towards the end of the novel, we can see that after all, Sparks wants a happy ending. Any fiction reader will miss a lot if he or she hasn't read this one, BEND IN THE ROAD, captivating.....

Summary: More than just a love story
Review: "A Bend in the Road" deals with more than just love, it deals with forgiveness, with the pain of losing someone and with starting a new life. Miles Ryan, a deputy sheriff had to deal with the hit and run accident which killed his beloved wife. It was extremely difficult for Miles to "get over" the accident, as there was no closure and he had to deal with the frustruation of not catching the culprit who ruined his life. Sarah, was left by her husband because she was unable to conceive, and left Boston for New Bern to start a new life. There, she met Miles. And, of course they fell in love. Just as their relationship was progressing to another level, Sarah discovered a secret which could meant an end to their relationship.

The storyline was pretty predictable especially with the synopsis provided by the publisher. Nevertheless, this is still a great story, as it deals with real life issue, such as grieving, moving on and forgiveness. The book also shows that friends and family members can provide a great source of support when life gets tough. In addition, I think Sparks does a good job in depicting the tightness of communities in small town. This is my first Nicholas Sparks book and I enjoy it very much.

Summary: A Bend in the Heart
Review: Sparks again writes a heartfelt love story. A Bend in the Road shares the real pain associated with the loss of a loved one, especially a spouse. However, the fact that the heroine is indirectly involved in the hero's wife's death is unbelievable. There is a small chance anything like this would happen in real life. But then again, that's what books are for - to help us escape to a fantasy world. Sparks paves the road to this world, and does it well.

Summary: Another great book by Nicholas Sparks!
Review: I have read every book written by Nicholas Sparks and I have loved them all in varying degrees. His most recent book was a very enjoyable romance with a surprising twist of an ending. This is a perfect book to read by the pool or on the beach.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A soulfull story of love lost and forgiveness.
Review: A Bend in the Road moved me as most of Nicholas Sparks books do. I was draw into the loss and sorrow of the main character and understood his fear of commitment, but enjoyed the unfolding of the story of love and loss and new love found and the risk he decided to take.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: A marketing product; not a creative novel
Review: I enjoyed the first Nicholas Sparks book I read, but now, after reading a few, it's apparent that Sparks writes for sales, to fill whatever contract, and not because he has a truly creative idea. A Bend in the Road is predictable and trite and is an insult to serious book lovers.

Summary: Hooked till the end.......
Review: Being a native North Carlolina girl, Nicholas Sparks brought back memories of those wonderful country people. The very way he describes the folks in this town and how they spoke are very native to true "Tar Heels". This book is one that you can't put down till the last word is read. Most Excellent in every way, from beginning to end!
