Rating: Summary: Its pretty good... Review: Daja's book, by Tamora Peirce, is a series of three books. The other two books to this series are Sandry's Book and Tris's Book. Daja's Book is made for intermediate readers due to magic phrases and terms, which are sometimes hard to understand. This is a story about Daja, her friends, and teachers going to a town to help out. With Daja and her two friends having problems with their magic and the forest fire nearby, they have a handful to deal with. That handful might be just too much for the three teens. Fires blare across the lands and inch closer to what three young teens learn to call home. Droughts cover the land, but yet a glacier, with running water underneath, still thrives close by. How can that be in the magic world? Daja, Tris and Briar, three young teens who are still awaiting their almighty purpose in life, are looking to help out. Their magic, yet separate, works as one. The novel walks the reader through their assignment of helping a village, that for the time being, they learn to call home. The want to go to their real home thrives hard, but the need to help still overpowers.
Rating: Summary: Circle of Magic #3- Daja's Book Review: Excellent! Not entirely as good as the previous books, but still a good read. I definetely recommend this to anyone who likes Pierce's work or just wants a good book to sit back and read. Very nice!
Rating: Summary: One of the Dullest of the CIRCLE OF MAGIC series Review: I didn't begin this book expecting much because Daja wasn't a really interesting character, nor very memorable out of her friends. I really liked the fighting scenes, but wished there was more emphasis on friendship and relationships. This book seemed more juvenile than usual, there was no consistancy through out this book, and the writing was kind of choppy. Read it anyways if you like Tamora Pierce. You will be kind of dissapointed, but you can't let your favorite author down.
Rating: Summary: Circle of Magic, Daja's Book! Review: I have read all of the Circle of Magic books, but Briar's. Daja wasn't my favorite character in the Circle of Magic books. It's exciting to try to find out what happens to their magic after Sandry weaved Tris, Briar, Daja, and her's together in Sandry's Book. When the fire is out of hand and Daja is with the Traders, Daja doesn't know if she should save them after they kicked her out and marked her a trangshi when she was found after a ship wreaked with her family on it. I liked the end when some kind of metal was melted on her hand and was almost like her skin. I also like when Daja made a living metal plant that contains everyone's magic because Daja and her friends magic are combind together and they just found out how and why their magic are changing.
Rating: Summary: READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I have read every single one of Tamora's books, and I think that the Circle of Magic is one of her best! I just bought Daja's Book a few days ago, and was addicted to it from beginning to end! I loved Sandry's Book (I'm buying that too) and I thought that Tris's Book was OK, so I didn't expect too much from Daja. But it was awsome! I suggest it to anyone who likes fantasy and adventure! And I hope that Briar and Sandry will get together!
Rating: Summary: REALLY GOOD BOOK Review: I just bought Daja's Book today and LOVED it! I have read Sandry's Book and Tris's Book, and loved those (especially Sandry's), but Daja's Book was just awsome! I love how their powers and mixing together to make that weird plant/metal/cyclone thing. And with all the trader people...it's great! And I love how Sandry sews the map! (She's my favorite character. I can really relate to her, except my nose isn't that small) Anyway, I CAN NOT wait until Briar's Book comes out! Not only is it the last book, but I always liked Briar's personality. And I have a question: is there something going on with him and Sandry? That'd be cool. Anyway, I highly suggest this book! READ IT!
Rating: Summary: Poor Briar! Review: I know this book is supposed to be about Daja but i cant get my head around what Rosethorn did to Briar. It was truly horrible. This book was just as good as all the others in thew Com series inspite of Dajas dullness and the whole Trader thing was relly touching. I would really love there to be a romance between Briar and Sandry but its not going to happen beacause Briar is totally in Love With Rosethorn. These books are all really really good.
Rating: Summary: Great!(How's that for a creative title?) Review: I like the whole Circle of Magic series, and Daja's Book is one of the best there. The story itself holds your attention, and the emotional drama there is great, but definitely not mushy.Great choice!
Rating: Summary: Very very very very very GOOD! Review: I liked this book a lot! Daja is my favorite character of the series, and this book just showed how down to earth and natural she is. The end was so cool when she got her hand covered in in the brass from her trangshi trader staff. The metal tree was cool though too. Almost everythinng was interesting. IF your really interested in lots and lots of action, look somewhere else, cause your not going to find it in this book. this book is designed to flow like the first two and last books, and is built to go day to day. P.S.-I don't know what you one-raters were smoking but this book is NOT a 1 star! you people are nuts!
Rating: Summary: I love this author and this book Review: I really enjoyed Daja's book. I've been reading Tamora Pierce for years now, and still enjoy her books just as much as I did when I started reading them! The Circle of Magic series seems to be set in a more original and interesting world than her first books, and I can't wait for Briar's book to come out. Just one question though: Why does everyone expect Briar to end up with Sandry? Come on, they're only, like, eleven years old! And Sandry's just too perfect...
