Summary: Double Fudge is Awesome--Loved It
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed "Double Fudge". . . This book once again focuses on the book's main character Farley Drexel Hatcher (B.K.A. "Fudge"). He is absolutely hilarious in this book. His obsession with money, his twin cousins and their little brother nicknamed "Mini", along with their parents are another interesting twist in this story. Peter Hatcher, Fudge's older brother, who is now an official "junior high school student", typically experiences all of the anxiety that is associated with early adolesence.

This book made me laugh and laugh, especially the reaction of Mr. Hatcher when he discovers that their his cousins want to stay at their house longer than a week.

I was also able to put myself in many of the situations and generally grasp a feel each of the characters.

The first book that I ever read in the Fudge series was "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" followed by "Superfudge". I can remember attending Jefferson Elementary School in Little Rock, Arkansas waiting in line for what seemed like an infinity, to have first bid on checking out that book. I became a "reader beaver" thanks to Judy Blume and the wonderful staff at Jefferson Elementary who encouraged all students to build their foundation through reading. I used to walk swifly through the library with the rest of my classmates running straight towards the "B" fiction section --shouting, "Ready or not here I come."

This is an excellent read, and it is authors like Judy Blume who grasp the interest of young readers by making her work interesting and identifiable to young readers. Thank you Ms. Judy Blume for providing great reading material for children of all ages!

Summary: Peter
Review: I thought the book was okay. I didn't like all the parts. Some parts were funny and some were really boring. Fudge is an okay character but he is not really that funny. The funniest character I thought was Peter. Peter says funny stuff sometimes mostly when he is telling Fudge something. Fudge doesn't know a lot of things like about money. He thinks money grows on trees. Fudge is very funny sometimes but not all the times. Fudge says weird things sometimes. For the most part the book was Ok.

Summary: Dumbest Book in the world
Review: I tkink this book is not good to read. This book is for 10 year olds or under. In this story Fudge is not a good character . He only thinks about money. Then they talk about his dad's lost Cousin.
I think they should add a best friend for dad, like a lost best friend. It's more itresting. I think this story is good for ESL.

Summary: Not as fun as the rest
Review: I was elated when I discovered this book, I grew p on Fudge Hatcher and his antics. But this book was strange, Fudge wasn't nearly as wild as he had been previously. I dont think this was a bad book, but it could have been better.

Summary: Good Book
Review: I'm 16 years old, but since I was such a big fan of Fudge, I just had to buy this book! Even though it's a children's book, it was really good and didn't fail to make me laugh out loud.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A funny read
Review: I'm a big fan of Judy Blume and the "Fudge" series. The characters are always realistic (you feel like you know them -- almost too well!) and their antics are often hilarious. In "Double Fudge," Farley Drexel Hatcher, aka Fudge, discovers the joys of money. The antics that follow his discovery are quite funny. Not my favorite "Fudge" book to date, but it leaves room for a sequel and I will never hestitate to read a "Fudge" book.

Summary: boy gone crazy
Review: If you wont to read a book with humor and exciting parts then you should read Double Fudge. The author, Judy Blume, really lets you get to know the characters. You can relate in so many different ways to the people in the book. It is a great story to have fun with while reading.
Double Fudge is about a normal family. The family has a mom, dad and three kids. They also have a dog and a bird. Except one of the kids, Fudge, is crazy! He is five years old and loves money. All the boy talks about is money. To try to break his obsession with money his parents bring him to D.C. Instead, he gets even more obsessed with money. When they were in a gift shop, they found their long lost family -the Hatchers from Howie. They had two daughters, twins, Flora and Fauna or the Natural Beauties. Fudge found out they have a four year old boy and his name is Fudge also. When he finds this out, he was furious. Fudge didn't want to share his name with anyone. So Pete his older brother tells Fudge they will call their cousin Mini instead. Fudge has tantrums about almost everything. The family goes and lives with Peter's family for a week. They want to travel all over, New York was their next stop. Right in Peters living room. While there, the twins get to go to Peters school. He hates having family at his school. Also on Halloween the two Fudges are trapped in the knew elevator. Read the book to see if they ever get out.
I would rate this book a four because it has good strong details and is funny. Also after you read the book you are not left confused on what happened. In addition, most people can really relate in good ways and in bad to this book.

Summary: Money, Money, Money, Money!, Fudge?
Review: Money, Money, Money, Money!, Fudge?
Double Fudge Judy Blume

Double Fudge is about two boys named Peter and Fudge. Fudge has a very high obsession for money. Peter just gets really embarrassed when their long lost cousins Flora and Fauna come along. Flora and Fauna come with their parents from Hawaii.
The chapter that I think is exciting but yet weird, is chapter 5, "Bye-Bye Sue". It's really, funny because Fudge loses his shoe on a subway and a transit cop comes and Fudge's dad says, "Show the cop your shoe." "How can I show her my shoe if it is missing?" asks Fudge. "Then show her the shoe that is now missing," said Fudge's dad, very impatiently. I thought it was very funny.
I think anyone would enjoy reading this book because girls or boys could read it, all ages could read it, and I think some adults would maybe enjoy reading it also.
The way that I am rating this book is on a scale from 1 to 10. I would give this book a 9. I just enjoy reading Judy Blume books and books about Fudge. Fudge is what makes this book funny.
