Summary: MONSTER!!!!!
Review: The book Monster was an excellent book. Monster was about a young man named Steve that was sixteen and he was on trail for participating in a robbery where a man was murdered. Steve was the type of character that a lot of young man can related too. While Steve was on trail he wrote about he's days in jail. Doing the trail a lot of Steve friends was questioned and they lied and made things up to save themselves. By them lying they could have cause Steve to be sentence to the death penalty if he was found guilty. I really enjoyed this book, it had many lessons that everyone needs to learn. This book taught me that everyone you think is your friend is not, and it's up to you to find out who is before it's to late, and this book also made me feel right there in the courtroom watching Steve on trail.

Summary: The greatest book ever!
Review: This book has captured my mind. Once I began to read the story I couldn't stop reading. The book has everything a reader would like to know about the story being told. We can see the different point of views from each character. The story seems so real because the main character, Steve, write his day by day experience in jail, and the book also displays some pictures of Steve in jail. At the end of the book there is a lot of tention for King and for Steve. This book can have an affection on those people that are on the street doing robbery's, and it could teach others how could one big mistake like robbing a store could get you in a lot of trouble. I am really amazed and surprised that "Monster" is not based in a true story. I would really recommend teenagers that want to change their lives to read this book. This book really had a big impact on me.

Summary: Monster
Review: The book Monster is an interesting book that mostly young people should read. This is a very good book and a book that I would recommend for others to read. I liked the way this book talks about some of the things that are happening now a days with young, middle and old age people. This book talks about many things but especially about frienship. The book monster made me feel sorry at times for Steve who was being accused of participating in a robbery where a man was murdered. I felt sorry for Steve because it talked about how the guys he hanged around with lied and made up things just to save themselves and not caring that Steve might have been sentenced for a death penalty if found guilty. I pretty much enjoyed the way it maid me feel like if I was present in the court were Steve was being trialed. This book can make you think about the people surrounding you and to wonder if they are really your friends.

Summary: My thoughts about the book "Monster"
Review: Monster was a very interesting book to me. Walter wrote the book as if it was a movie or play. I think it was ironic because that was my first time reading a book like that. Monster should be made into a movie because it will give you a more visual insight about the book. This is one of the books I read and wasn't too anxious to read the end of because I thought he, the main character, was going to go to jail. In all I liked the book a lot and wouldn't mind reading other books by Walter Dean Myers.

Review: The novel "Monster" is a splendid book. The novel is about a 16 year old boy name Steve Harmon who is on murder trail for a murder he didn't commit . I think this book can influence a lot of young people . Also, it shows that when you are in the wrong place at the wrong time you can get caught up in a dangerous situation.

Summary: monster
Review: This story had a setting of a court room and a jail cell. The main character was named steve harmon. He was prosecuted for murdering a conviniance store manager. Steve was 16 years old and he was accused for a fatle shooting. One question to ask your self, was steve at one place at the wrong time? Or was he the true murder? In the story the reader or narrorator becomes both the witness and the juror. This book is in the format of a movie script. In all the novel was very interesting and it will keep you reading until the end.

Summary: A RIVETING READ FOR AT RISK YOUTH
Review: Steve Harmon decided to do the wrong thing.... and now he is held accountable for his actions. I teach high school students who read below a 6th grade level. When we read Monster, I hear the pages of the book turn... they "fight" over the parts they want to read... they discuss, relate to, and evaluate the characters. These reluctant readers, who themselves have been in and out of Rikers Island, sneak a few pages ahead, and read the back to find out the ending. Just the other day, one student came in late, and another commented... "Hey, you are just in time for the book."
Need I say more??
