Summary: boring, boring, boring
Review: I have about 25 pages left to read of The Alibi. This is the most boring book written by Sandra Brown that I have read! (I have read all her books)!! Please write more books like Fat Tuesday and Unspeakable.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Super Character Inter-twining
Review: This character knows this one. This one slept with that one. This one... You get the idea. I enjoyed the twists and turns.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I don't care, I like it anyway!
Review: Totally artless writing, but she entertains. Nobody suggested these blood&gutsers are expected to be Gertrude Stein. Brown stays right on, new and viable with each foray, her characters as fresh and interesting as those of the novice efforts WHITE OLEANDER and A CAT'S FULL NINE, albeit within a less literate forum.

The interplay is exciting. Some of these series dispensers occasionally reprise their formats and situations but Brown does manage to pull something new out of the hat every time. My guess is there's a still abundant store clever stuff yet to come.

Summary: So boring I could hardly wait to get it done!!!
Review: In all of my years of reading Sandra Brown books, I have never come across one that was below four-stars until now. "The Alibi" was very boring and I found myself skipping paragraphs and hoping the next page would prove fruitful. All I can say is that Sandra Brown should stick to steamy romance novels and do us all a BIG favor!!!!

Summary: Welcome back Sandra Brown. . .
Review: After reading Unspeakable(which was unreadable), I was afraid to read this one although I am a long time fan of Mrs. Brown. But she is back in her old form. I have not finished the book yet, but I can't put it down. Welcome back Sandra!!!

Summary: Old Sandra vs. New Sandra
Review: There's definitely an old-Sandra Brown style and a new-Sandra Brown style. Those who liked the old seem to find a lot of fault with these newer ones - that's why the ratings for this book range from 1 to 5 stars! I, who only started reading the new style, think she's quite good! Good romance, suspense, and lots of action! Now, having said all that, I must say that I didn't really enjoy The Alibi. The book I really liked was Exclusive. But this one - I got frustrated about 2/3 of the way through and skipped to the end just to find out who did it.What was the problem? Brown couldn't make Alex and Hammond "connect" for me. Tons of physical attraction but otherwise - too many secrets, too many lies, too DRAGGED OUT. Very disappointing.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Predictable but entertaining
Review: I would have to agree with a previous reviewer, stop comparing and just enjoy this book. It may not be Brown's best work but it did keep me entertained for 3 days. I also felt it was a little too predictable, but all in all-just enjoy!!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Sandra Brown's new book is just okay
Review: I've read almost all the books Sandra Brown has written and the new one, The Alibi, is just not one of her better works. The plot seems a little dull and her characters, who are usually full of life and interesting, don't provide the reader with as much entertainment as characters in previous books. While the book is worth reading, it isn't one that you will want to stay up late to finish.

Summary: FEH!
Review: Remember when Sandra Brown wrote good books? Books like Mirror Image and French Silk? Sigh.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: I am very disappointed in Sandra Brown's new style!!
Review: Sandra Brown go back to writing Romance, that is what you are good at and that is what your fans are looking to read. I WAS a #1 fan of Sandra Brown but her last two books have been terrible. She is trying to write suspense instead of romance and I don't think she makes it. Please, please go back to your old style of writing. This will be the last book I buy written by her if this is going to be her writing style.
