Summary: Pictures tell the whole story.
Review: This was my favorite book when I was in kindergarten. I was captivated by the changes the little house went through from sitting on a little hill in the country to being dwarfed by the huge buildings in the city. I would look for every little detail that would change from page to page. The written story was also delightful, but I was probably oblivious to the message the author intended to give until I was much older. However, I still remember the story today. Of course, this book will make a wonderful gift for my toddler!

Summary: The House that Got Away!
Review: This was one of my favorite books when I was little and willalways have a place in my heart. When I saw the cover again after manyyears I was overcome. Whenever I see a dilapidated house that seems to belong to another era I am always reminded of the Little House. I wish all little houses could have the same fortunate outcome.

Summary: My Favorite Childhood Memory
Review: When I was just 3 years old, I ended up in the hospital. The same day, I was allowed to go to the Hospital play room where they had toys, crayons, coloring books, and reading books. There was The Little House. The pictures fascinated me, and the attendant read it to me. I was so mesmorized by it, I was allowed to take it back to my room. My mother read it to me over and over. When I got home, I had my very own copy of The Little House waiting for me. To this day, it warms my heart and the heart of my own children. Beautiful pictures and a warm, carefully chosen words make this book one of a kind. I recommend it to children of all ages!
