Rating: Summary: An innocently captivating book Review: Walk Two Moons was recommended to me by a trusted teacher. I had heard of it before, but never felt the impulse to read this wonderful book. Once did start reading it, though, I couldn't put it down! It captivated me! The story and its characters are endearing to readers who enjoy innocent mysteries and seemingly trivial dramas. This book simply tells the tale of a young girl and her journeys, but the way in which it is told mesmerizes the reader. I highly suggest reading this book. Walk Two Moons satisfies the part of every reader that demands an excellent book.
Rating: Summary: Huzza Huzza Review: Walk Two Moons is a story of love and adventure. It was written by Sharon Creech and won the 1995 Newbery Medal. I laughed and cried when I read, but what I found out in the end just blew my breath away. Walk Two Moons is realistic fiction. Salamanca a thirteen-year-old girl lives with father. She goes on a road trip with her grandparents to visit her mother who had left when Salamanca was young. They were driving to Lewiston, Idaho. In the car Salamanca tells a story about a girl named Phoebe and the adventures they had together, but little does she realize how they relate to her own story. On the way to Idaho something terrible happens to Salamanca's grandmother. Finally when Salamanca reaches Lewiston she goes to visit her mother, but what she finds isn't exactly her normal mother but something different. I recommend Walk Two Moons to someone who likes books with adventure, mystery and sadness. When I was reading it I couldn't put it down. It made me think about life. At the end I cried for a while. Sharon Creech has a way with words and is a wonderful author. Walk Two Moons is a magnificent book.

Rating: Summary: Absolutely Lovely! Review: Well, "Walk Two Moons" didn't win the 'Newbery' for nothing. Reading this book was like eating a lucious, triple layer truffle. Brilliant tasting, but one is not quite sure what's going to be inside the middle. "Oh, I didn't expect an almond.!" Salamanca is telling the story, well a few stories. She is driving with her quirky gram and grandpa through the Black Hills, Iowa, some beautiful country. The reader will be inside that car, I will tell you that! While driving, Sal tells the story of Phoebe, her best friend. How their friendship and lives intertwine with one another. The story unfolds beautifully...until what's left is a fully bloomed rose. I am not going to reveal the story, but the characters are superb and deeply thought out. There is a lot happening in all directions, and the reader is not sure where they are going to end up. 'How did I get here?' I like that! Great messages, insight, descriptive writing, some first kisses, blood bonding. But the best part, the characters have flaws!! (Just like us) Sharon Creech knows how smart young adults are and she does not underestimate them... Loooved every bite of this delectable truffle... I even licked my fingers at the end!!!! HUZZA, HUZZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rating: Summary: Riveting, emotional, and well worth the read! Review: My 8 year old was required to read this book for her academic team. I began to listen to her and was drawn to it immediately. I was so touched by the characters in this book, young and old, and how we can't really see life until we have walked in another's moccassins. Better than any adult literature I've read, and I'm a teacher of 15 years! Kudos++++++++++
Rating: Summary: Walk Two Moons Review: Sharon Creech's Walk Two Moons was very exciting. It took you on an adventure as if you were really in a car with them. This book is alive! I think that Sharon Creech truly excelled this time! The story that Salamanca tells is great. This book makes you cry, laugh, and enjoy a lot. I hope you read this book and and will enjoy it as much as I did. Salamanca tells her grandparents a story about a girlfriend that is about 13 years old. As she is telling the story, she is in a car, with her granparents who are driving her to see her mother. While she is telling the story, she is having mixed emotions about her visit. Suprises abound while she is on the trip.
