Summary: Good read
Review: An entertaining and engrossing novel filled with humor and heartbreak. You won't soon forget Dolores Price!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: If you want to be depressed, read this book.
Review: The story line goes from bad to worse to horrible to unbelievably tragic. This book is extremely well-written but it's definitely a downer. I kept expecting things to get better for the heroine, but they never did.

Summary: 0 stars really... I dispised the part of the book I read.
Review: This is the worst book I have ever begun. It shows how men have exploited and still are exploiting women by making them into pitiful, silly, and utterly stupid characters that never have the opportunity, disire or hutzpa to learn from their mistakes. This book is a clear example why women are still being exploited by men. It was so predictable, I couldn't read any more after chapter 10. Perhaps Mr. Lamb should write a book about a male character, that is exploited beyond belief and try to make it a best seller. It seems that most men writing about men make the characters appear to be heros.

Summary: Disappointed in Oprah's choice!
Review: Pure GARBAGE! Didn't even waste time reading second half. Hung on through first half hoping for improvement.

Summary: Thou shall not judge!
Review: I found this book very intersting and enlightening. As a 25 year old woman who has experienced very little adversity in life and never battled a weight problem, occasionally I find myself quick to judge those women and men who are over weight. By the end of this book, although frustrated with her, I could understand Delores' need to "comfort" herself with food. We all use defense mechanisms to protect ourselves emotionally, unfortunately for many people those mechanisms have physical consequences. I suggest everyone read this book. It is a mind-opening adventure and will cause you to "look in the mirror" before judging others.

Summary: Rocks my world
Review: I like the part about the bowlegged cocker spaniel who always falls down when he hears the "Jeopardy" theme.

Summary: Engrossing
Review: I've begun -only to abandon - so many works of contempory fiction lately, that it came as a pleasant surprise to find myself staying up long past my bedtime, unable to release this page-turner; a sensation I'd long missed. Having led a rather traumatic life myself, I disagree with the oft-repeated accusation of plot implausibility (finding, instead, the seruptitious appearance of key characters in unlikely places rather hard to swallow). Not a cheery tale, but life isn't a bowl of cherries; how reassuring to witness her eventual triumph; she did find - and learn how to - love. WORTHWHILE!!!

Summary: WOW! That's all I can say!
Review: This is one book that i really COULD NOT put down. I found myself wondering what Dolores Price was going to do next. The fascinating part about the whole book for me was that even though she was such an odd character, there was something about her that I related to.

Summary: His story was extraordinary
Review: I was amazed at how well he can convincingly write from a woman's point of view. Specific feelings and certain motivations that women can understand and identify with. One of the best books I've read in years.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: My all-time favorite!
Review: The only bad thing about Wally Lamb's novels is that there's only two of them! Watching his characters deal with such immense sadness in their lives makes my own problems seem trivial. She's Come Undone is so emotionally powerful I was touched in ways I won't likely forget. I hope I can find more books as special as this one, but I doubt it.
