Rating: Summary: A character that you never forget Review: I absolutely loved this novel. Dolores Price is one of those literary figures that once you have read of her, you never forget her and are almost sad when the book ends. Wally Lamb is a truly talented author and I highly recommend this novel!
Rating: Summary: Wow best book I have read in a long time!!!!! Review: I very much injoyed this book and got into it immediately. Everyone is reading this book now. I passed it to one of my friends then it went to another and another. People in the bus are reading it. I have never seen a book with so much public coverage.
Rating: Summary: Disturbing and uninteresting. Review: I REALLY tried to like this book. I put it down and picked it up at least a dozen times (still trying to finish it and over half way through). The main character is SO HORRENDOUS! She makes me insane. You know, I've loved books about unsympathetic crazy people in the past, but this one misses the mark. Maybe they've got to be written by women to make that emotional connection. It wasn't that Wally Lamb's writing style was bad even. He's a very good writer - it's the people he chooses to create that are so miserable.
Rating: Summary: Yuck...hated it! Review: I had heard that people really liked this book or really hated it...I'm glad I got mine from the local library because I did not like it at all, in fact I didn't even bother to finish it.
Rating: Summary: A disturbing yet suprisingly vivid portrayel of a girl. Review: Wally Lamb uses a combonation of descriptive writing style and realistic charecters to foretell the rite of passage for a young insecure female. This is one of the best books written about women because of the fact it was written by a man.
Rating: Summary: I am amazed at the people who didn't enjoy this book... Review: From the other comments that I have been reading, this is "a love it or hate it" type of book. I really enjoyed reading this book, and watching Dolores grow up! I read this book in one day and now, almost a year later I find myself picking it up from time to time, just to visit with my friend Dolores! I really liked it! Oh, and I once dated a carbon copy of "Dante"! I am so glad that I didn't take the relationship as far as Dolores did.
Rating: Summary: Engrossing!!! Review: Best book I have read in years! The thing I liked best was it was not predictable! At one point I was yelling at the book, cause I thought I knew what was going to happen, but, I was wrong! Don't pass this book up!
Rating: Summary: Did I miss something? Review: I could not get into this book at all. The pace was slow and the characters were uninteresting. I can't waiting for a "good part" but never got it. The story just did not do anything for me. A waste of money.
Rating: Summary: I was very bored with this book Review: I kept waiting for the story to "pick up". It never did. I found it to be a very depressing read.
Rating: Summary: Engrossing and captivating Review: She's Come Undone kept me up at night more than my 2-month old baby did! I simply couldn't put it down; I finished this 400+ page book in two days!! I fell in love with Dolores and was captivated by her journey of self-discovery.The book is beautifully written in the voice of a strong yet vulnerable girl who I cheered for at every turn! The ending is so brilliant that I read the last paragraph over and over again so that I could re-experience Dolores' triumph.
