Summary: minty-fresh
Review: I thought this was a great book. Although I can't relate with Dolores most of the time, I really thought I was a wonderful, interesting read. I fell in love with characters..I just couldn't put it down. I'v never read a book in so little time. Loved it!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An unforgettable tragedy-turned-comedy...WONDERFUL!
Review: I had a very hard time putting this book down, it is a masterpiece in my opinion! The closer I got to the end the harder it was to put down and when I finished, I knew that I would miss Delores! She is an unforgettable character! The fact that this was written by a man is truly amazing! Wally Lamb is very talented...I'll be looking out for his next work of art! (I also very much enjoyed I Know This Much is True)

Summary: This book was amazing!
Review: I could actually hear Delores maturing over the years. I could see Daddy, Ma, Grandma, Dr. Shaw, Dante...I was cheering for Delores when she went off on Dante in Burger King. I just didn't want this book to end.

Summary: Very Depressing
Review: This book traveled from the life every kid wants to the most horrific events that left me feeling numb. I thought it was the most depressing book I've ever read. Never again will I buy a book just because Oprah thought it was good!!!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I've never even read the book and I'm in love with it!
Review: I saw a counselor at my summer camp read this book and I wanted to check it out. So, I did. I've read alot of your reviews and I'm already in love with it! I can't wait to go to a books store and buy this book and read it. I have one question, though. How old should you be to read this? I am twelve. Someone please write a review and tell me, because I really want to read it!

Summary: Way Over-Hyped
Review: Ridiculous plot, poorly written, uninteresting characters. With all the millions of GOOD books out there, don't waste your time with this one.

Summary: OH MY GAWD!
Review: This is a so amazing book! Everytime I put the book down, I found myself worrying about Price's problems. Lam writes with such a forcefull, enduring intensity, it scares me. I was literally afraid to pick the book back up and find out what next uh, surprising thing was going to happen. Dolores Price taught me a lot with her sharp, spunky lines. This is a beautifull book anyone can relate to in some way. I mean, I'm only 12 years old! Read it!

Summary: God-awful.
Review: I just can't sympathize with someone as loathesome and self-pitying as Dolores. I WANTED to like her, to feel for her, and that is what made me read to the end. I kept hoping something would happen to change it all. Completely unsatisfying and unmoving. I would have given it zero stars if possible.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent read, insightful, gripping and emotional
Review: To think a man wrote this book makes it all the more a better read. Great insight, wonderful development of character and very gripping. I couldnt put it down. It came highly recommended from every direction, and will leave my hands the same way.

Summary: Complete waste of time
Review: This book came highly recommended from a friend of mine. When I picked up the book at the store, I noticed that it was an Oprah selection. This should have been warning enough to put it back. I managed to finish the book but it was quite a struggle. I found the characters shallow, annoying and I had absolutely no sympathy for Dolores. The only reason why I kept on reading was that my friend insisted that I would come to love the main character.

This is a great book to read when travelling - it is simple, uncomplicated, does not require any thinking on the reader's part, and it is in no way difficult to put down should you decide to pursue other activities
