Summary: Sucks you in..especially if you're educated and/or relate
Review: As a graduate student at an Ivy League college, most of what I read is pretentious, wordy, and a so-called "masterpiece". So picking up a "paper soap" like this takes a little adjustment. But after accepting such an easy read, you get into the person. I laughed and cried SEVERAL times. I could identify with Delores. It's funny how I identify with her because I'm heavy, yet my friend identified her due to her being sexually assaulted. We both agree that Wally Lamb has sufficiently captured the psychological consequences of these issues.

Delores IS a heroine. And she even admits that it takes her quite awhile to "come undone".

Summary: If you are highly sensitive, dont read it.
Review: THIS BOOK IS REALLY GOOD!!! IT MADE ME LAUGH AND CRY. HOWEVER, THOSE OF YOU COMPLAINING IT WAS TOO DEPPRESING, I APPLAUDE LAMB FOR PUTTING THAT MUCH FEELING INTO THE BOOK. YOU WANT SOMETHING UP LIFTING, GO READ "THE HAPPY BOOK" AND DONT READ THIS ONE. ITS JUST THE SAME AS SAYING THAT A MYSTERY BOOK YOU READ WAS HORRIBLE JUST BECAUSE YOU LIKE FANTASIES INSTEAD. GIVE ME A BREAK TO ALL THOSE SUPER CRITICALS OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: dysfunctional tuba** tries to right her life
Review: this book s**ked. if I had known it was on the Oprah list Iwould have skipped it altogether. The writing style is good, characters are well-drawn, but the subject matter is distasteful, at best. It was advertised as being funny, but I found it boring and depressing. Enjoy, masochists.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: It was a little bit slow in the beginning, but once I got into it, I couldn't put it down! It made me cry at the end. I gave it to my sister when I was finished with it.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very realistic book, worth the time!
Review: When I read the beginning, it f=drew me in, I felt like the author was making me feel like a part of the story. It's a great book, and I read his other book, 'I Know This Much is True'. That book is great too.

Summary: Good
Review: I enjoyed this book; yet, often after reading for awhile i often felt depressed and in a mad mood. This book describes a very very difunctional girl. The way the author writes about the characters often makes you feel very strongly about each one. In other words, I either hated, pitied, or only mildly liked each character. If you can handle, read it, if not stay away.

Summary: Absolutely HATED this book
Review: I HATED this book along with Dolores. This book was a total waste of my time and money. It's a shame that the "heroine"(certainly not someone I'd want my daughters to look up to) was someone who blamed society for the outcome of her life instead of herself, I tried to like Dolores but couldn't- heck, I even tried to pity her. This book left me depressed. I didn't even save it to pass it along to a friend (wouldn't do that to a friend) I threw it out.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I felt this book was extremely moving.
Review: I devoured every word in a matter of days. Having been so involved in Delores' life, I threw the book down a couple of times because I was angry at the choices she had made. This book truly touched my soul and I will never forget the lessons that Delores Price taught me about life.

Summary: I laughed, I cried and I re-read it over and over again
Review: This is a truely execellent book. I am 15 years old and have read She's Come Undone 4 times in the past two years (it is terribly long, but that is what makes it so great...you really can get INTO the book.) Wally Lamb is increadible. This book has everything. Humor, drama, suspence, you name it. I was never able to put this book down. I doubt you will, either.

Some adults have said to me "you've read She's Come Undone? (gasp) how could your parents allow you to read it?" True, this book has some sensitive content, but I feel that every adolesent girl should read this book, or at least be allowed to read this book. It opened up my eyes to many issues and I even identified with Dolores.

Some people think this book is only for females. completely untrue. My father read it and loved it. Although it is about a female, thereby it is probably easier for females to identify, anyone can enjoy this book.

Wally Lamb has created a person, not just a book. This is one book that is you will not believe is fiction. And this is one book that has been placed on our reference shelf, along with all the encyclopedias.

Summary: Worst novel I've ever read...waste of time and money
Review: I really hated this book. After reading the synopsis on the back cover, I bought it because I thought I'd identify with Dolores Price. Then I read the book and found it to be completely depressing and uninteresting. I really hated it. It boggles my mind that this book has become so popular. I have no desire to read _This_Much_Is_True, but maybe I will give Mr. Lamb another chance.
