Summary: Good but depressing
Review: I really liked the writing and the characters in this book, but things just kept getting worse and worse! I wanted something to finally go well for the main character.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A WONDERFUL, INTERESTING SURVIVAL STORY FOR WOMEN.
Review: SHE'S COME UNDONE, follows the triumphs and downfalls of Dolores Price, who grew up in a very unstable family enviroment. Women can identify with this story because it deals with the many ordeals that all kinds of women encounter in their lives and takes it one step further to the extreme circumstance. Throughout the book the reader finds themselves cheering, and rooting for Dorleres to overcome all of lifes battles that she is forced to face. The auhtor, Wally Lamb is able to appeal to most women by having his lead character suffer and endure tragedy after tradegy. Just like "I Will Survive," the hit song by Gloria Gaynor has become known has the women's anthem, She's Come Undone can be considered the women's bible. Giving readers of all ages a positive message of being able to overcome any obstacles you are forced to complete throughout your life.

Summary: THIS IS THE BEST BOOK THAT I HAVE EVER READ. A MUST!!!!

Summary: Just Not A Guy Book
Review: I finished this book and thought of giving it to my husband, but didn't because it's not a "guy" book. It's such a shame because this is not a good book. This is a great book. I find that I can remember every single small detail. I've had very painful depressing days in my life, and I've had even worse than depressing days in my life. I feel like Wally Lamb reached into my soul and pulled out this pain and placed it within the pages of "She's Come Undone". And yet, this is not a depressing book. If you're wondering if you should buy or read this novel. Yes, you have to read this novel. You have to experience this book. Don't even consider not reading it.

Summary: she's come undone
Review: awesome, perfectly awesome. It throughly suprises me how you can read the same book over and over and get more and more out of it each time. I think that most women would really enjoy this book and can relate to some or lotts of the emotions that Delores goes thought. Totally suprising that a man can write female emotions so beautifully... good job Wally!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very well written story about undoing un doing.
Review: Dolores Price's undoing begins when two people she remembers as Nixon and Eisenhower deliver a television set that has been given as a gift to her family. We all have to undo the undoing that results from deceptions. The lies of television and Nixon affected all baby boomers as we conspired to build lives with these deceptions as our fundamental planks. Dolores's undoing is more severe than most folks, but all of us have to undo what we may have done to ourselves and what others have done to us. This book is very well written, very funny at times despite the subject matter, and describes how someone can come close to burying oneself. It also describes the hard work necessary for excavation.

I do think that the author might have told too many stories. I had the feeling that he'd written independent stories about the life of Dolores Price and now as he synthesized the tales into the novel had some trouble tying up loose ends. The Burger King explanation to Dante seems far fetched. And how could Dr. Shaw and her benefactor from California disappear from her new life?

Summary: I believe in Whales!
Review: I am an overweight (fat) young woman like the heroine of this book. I also have had bouts with depression and thoughts of sucide. But this book made me she the light. That no matter how much bull doo we are handed in life it can get worse and it can get better. But only if we want it to. This book showed me that even a bad life can have its good days.

Rating: 5 stars
